Chapter 1

"Aloha!" Chris yelled as he got out of the limo.

JC took in the scenery around him. Somehow, he and his four other bandmates had managed to get a vacation period, and they had decided to go to one of the islands in the Carribean. They would be on the island of Manduro for a two weeks. From the looks of the tropical scenery around him, JC was pretty sure that he wouldn't want to leave.

One of the bagboys came and began to put all of the bags from the trunk of the limo onto a luggage cart. "Wow," he remarked, looking at all the luggage. "I'm going to need another cart. How long are you going to be staying?"

"Just two weeks," Lance said. "Most of those bags are Joey's, anyways."

As soon as all the luggage was on the carts, the guys began to head in. "Yo, Jace, ya coming?" Justin said.

"Nah.... I'll be up in a minute. I just want to check this place out." He pulled on his sunglasses, attempting to shield his eyes from the blazing sun.

"Whatever you say. Here's the key." Justin placed the key into the palm of his hand. "We're in room 419."

JC walked to his right. There was a patio there, with all sorts of exotic plants in bloom around it. He sat at one of the tables, just to enjoy the scenery. His train of thought was interrupted when he spotted a young woman having trouble with her bag.

She was at the front door of the hotel, struggling to yank her large Pullman suitcase out of a limo door. He got to his feet, ran over to her, and began to pull on the strap.

"What the-?" she stared, bewildered. "What are you doing?"

"I've almost got it---" he gave the strap a hard tug- "there!" He handed the bag to the woman. "There you go. Sometimes those things can be stubborn as hell."

The woman gave him a lopsided smile. "Thank you," she said.

"You're welcome.... what's your name?"

"I'm Liesel," she said timidly.

"Nice to meet you." 'VERY nice,' JC thought. She was gorgeous: long, dark brown hair, nicely tanned skin, deep hazel eyes. She wore a black v-neck shirt with a light pink quarter length one over it, and a knee-length black skirt.

"Liesel!" an aggrivated voice boomed.

"Oh God," Liesel moaned. "Look, mister, thanks for your help, I've really got to go. See you around?" she asked, extending her hand.

JC took her hand. It was smooth, and soft. "Um, alright," he said. "Later."

"Liesel Cameron, here, NOW!" the voice yelled once again.

"I gotta go." She picked up the strap of the Pullman and walked away. "Yes, Daddy?" she said in an irrate voice.

JC could only stand there, awed. He had just run into this girl, helped her get her stuck suitcase out of a car door, found her attractive, and now she had gone off to meet her father. The situation seemed to capivate him. 'Is there any way to become obsessed with someone after talking to them for less than five minutes?' he thought.
