50 Q Switch Box
The 50 Q Switch Box is used to remotely fire Electric Matches (EM). Located on the top is a keylock 'TEST/ ARM' switch; an LED and beeper for continuity testing; an 'ARMED' LED; and a 16 Amp momentary 'FIRE' switch. On the back cover are five DB-25F connectors for output; two 4-way binding posts for external power source; and a nine volt battery holder for continuity test circuit. Typically the 50 Q Switch Box is connected to 5 ODA 10 position slats with 100 foot cables. The EM's are then attached to the slats. |
10 Position Slat
This allows easy connection of Electic Matches to source of power. Requires no wire twisting, no lugs, no screws etc. Just push lever down - insert wire - release lever. Contains 10 pairs of audio style connectors, one for each cue. A DB25 connector for input. Redundancy is built in by providing two pins per signal and five pins for ground.

Electric Match Heads- These small pc board chips have nichrome wire wrapped around the end. They are ready for the Do-It-Yourselfer to solder twin lead wire to the chip and then coat with a pyrogen. Voila an EM for pennies.
Cables- We carry 100' 25 wire cables with DB25 connectors on both ends. These are the cables recommended for use with ODA systems. Although a standard computer supply, we believe our prices to be very good.
Shunts- Shunts are used to electrically connect all wires in the cable together. It also physically protects the connector ends from dirt and pin damage.
