Mariah Carey is the biggest-selling female recording artist of the 90's. Mariah, born and raised in New York by her mother, wrote her first song at the age of four. Everyone can see practicing pays-off beacuse on September 29,1999 "Heartbreaker" made music history when it became her 14th #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. And to complete her collection of awards she has won, Mariah Carey was named the Artist of the Decade Award at the 1999 Billboard Awards on December 8th. Congratulations Mariah!!!
