Blue Jay *
A common resident throughout the region, especially suburban neighborhoods. Flocks of 50 or more may be found in the fall, when jays migrate locally . LCBC high count of 253 in 1997.

Florida Scrub-Jay *
An uncommon resident of the Ridge and scrub areas. The total Polk County population is estimated at less than 500. LWCBC high count of 25 in 1987. (T)

American Crow *
A fairly common resident of the Green Swamp and large ranches. Not found in the company of Fish Crows and never in large flocks. LWCBC high count of 166 in 1996.

Fish Crow *
An abundant resident of non rural Polk County. Winter flocks and roosts of many thousands are seen. LCBC high count 32,200 in 1989.
