NITROGEN BAND HISTORY
Welcome to the Nitrogen band history page.If you are here you must be a little lost or you really care.
The band was started in 1997 when I, Mike the guitarist, decided to start a band with my friends Jarrod Dinwoodie, Ryan Millward and Shane Sun.Originally I wanted to be the drummer but Shane took on that responsibility.The band was going to be called 'Sping' for no real reason at all.Later the name was changed to many different and interresting combinations.(eg. One story piss drop).The name 'Nitrogen' was decided on when Ryan and I went on holiday to Durban together.The whole 5 hour drive was taken up deciding on names.The best of which were 'Caffiene', 'Static', 'NitroStatic' and of course 'Nitrogen'.
The original band figures looked like this:
Jarrod Dinwoodie: Bass & Vocals.
Michael Berry: Guitar & Backing Vocals.
Ryan Millward: Guitar & Backing vocals.
Shane Sun: Drums.
Unfortunatly in March 1998 Jarrod emigrated to U.S.A and the vocals and bass were taken up by Ryan, well at least until he emigrated to Sheepland(New Zealand) in June.I took up the vocals and my older brother Kevin joined to play bass.
In early September Kevin, Me, Derrick Kie ,Stephan Dagher and Judd Da Cruz played at Glenvista High School under the name Nitrogen.The performance was not too shabby but people mistakingly believed this band to be the real Nitrogen.On the last day of last year's school year the same band played.Recordings are available on request.
Early this year Shane moved to Fourways and so I am the last remaining original member.The new band is as such:

Steohan Dagher: Bass & Backing Vocals.
Judd Da Cruz: Drums & Percussion.
