Chapter 37

The next day things started roughly in the Timberlake household with a loud slam of he door by Justin.

"What the hell?" Tiffany said as she opened her eyes and looked at the clock, it was 6:30 am. "If he's gonna leave he could at least be quiet for the baby's sake." She wasn't going to bother with trying to go back to sleep and Randy would be getting up soon so she got a quick shower and got dressed for the day.

Justin arrived promptly at 6:55 for rehearsal. Lance and I and everyone else were already there waiting for Darren to come. At 7:05 someone who worked in the building delivered a message that Darren had a meeting and wouldn't be here till at least 7:45 so the guys, Alana, and I took one corner of the room while the other 3 dancers sat a good distance away.

"Guys guess what?" JC started the conversation.

"What?" We all replied.

"Erica is pregnant." He said with a smile.

"I'm so happy for you two." I said to JC.

"It's definitely a great experience." Lance added.

"Yea as long as your wife doesn't turn into a total bitch on you after it." Justin commented.

We all got quiet and were really confused.

"What are you talking about?" JC asked.

"Ok get this. Last night Tiff and I are in bed ready to go to sleep and out of nowhere she sits back and tells me that she thinks I should quit my career because I'm not a good enough father and I'm not around enough. Can you believe it? She want's me to quit my career I've been in for years on end!"

"Wow, that really doesn't sound like Tiffany." Alana commented.

"Yea it doesn't. Was something going on before?" I asked.

"NO she just turned Psycho bitch on me."

"Well I'm sure she'll apologize when you come home. It was probably just a mood swing or something. She probably didn't mean it." Alana suggested.

"We'll see." He replied.

Back at Tiffany's...It was past 7 once she was ready so she went ahead and woke Randy up, knowing if she didn't that he wouldn't take a nap this afternoon.

While Randy ate breakfast in his high chair and watched Sesame Street Tiffany decided to get on the phone and call Erica, she needed to release some of her thoughts about Justin. Erica suggested that Tiffany and the baby come over to her house for the day since JC was away and she didn't have plans. At around 9 Tiffany and Randy were going to drive over to Erica's and then they decided they would hit the mall for awhile.

At rehearsal we all were finally ready to present our dances since Darren had arrived. Mandy went first. She gave an exact replica of Christina Aguilera's "what a girl wants" and then a really energetic performance to Detiny Child's "Bugaboo". Now it was time for her to show here smoother side with a beautifully choreographed "Forever" by Westlife. Now we all had to get up for her to teach us a dance which was "Are you that somebody". She didn't really teach us anything she was just telling us to do what she did she didn't bother to show how to execute the movements. I was really glad when she was done because she was really pissing me off with her snotty personality.

Next this girl Terri was up and I really enjoyed watching her. Not only was she good at dancing and creating her dances but she had an eclectic mix of dances. Her first routine was "Me, Myself, and I" by Vitamin C. Followed up by "If Only" which I personally enjoyed being a hanson fan, and for her slow dance she chose "Have you ever" by Brandy. I was also glad to see that she taught us how to do the dance she had to teach which was "Blue Monday" by Orgy. When she was done I told her how well I thought she went about choosing songs and she took a seat next to me.

Alana volunteered to go next so she quickly ran to center stage and took her position. I had no idea what she was going to do. As soon as the music started Chris lightly laughed and said "Go figure" when "The Bad Touch" by the Bloodhound came on. She really outdid herself on that first number but she did good overall. Next she chose "Where my girls at" by 702 and I would've thought she was on the tv show Great Pretenders because she was lip singing and dancing along, kind of reminding me of our old karaoke days. Time for Alana to chill out and do a slow song, hard to imagine that girl going slower than 100 mph but she did it with "I Do" by 98 degrees which was definitely a personal favorite since it was the song that followed my proposal and wedding. Now she was gonna get all freaky and wild when she had to teach, which she did do, the dance she choreographed to Rob Thomas and Santana's "Smooth." Finally we all sat down and she took a place next to Chris where she innocently was flirting with him.

It came my turn of embarassment. My key would be to avoid eye contact with anyone. Which would ultimately fail butI got up there and did my best with "Oops I did it again." As "(I can't get no) Satisfaction" started Joey joked with Lance "Can't give her no satisfaction, eh?" Lance just rolled his eyes at the immature remark. During Mandy's "I wanna be with you" that's when my eye contact came into place and I smiled at Lance a few times. I got everyone up on the floor with me as I went through step by step of the basic routine I was having them do for "Wild Thang" and I was really impressed how well they all took the dance even with the sexual style that tied in with the song. We all finally got to sit down and I felt a big weight off my shoulders now that it was over.

"I'm impressed" Lance commented.

"Oh I know you are." I joked as this last girl Steph took the stage.

I could tell just from her expression that she would be another bitch I couldnt' get along with. She had a really skanky dance choreographed for Pink's "There you go" she followed it up with "The first night" by Monica. Chris had made the first comment that She probably gets down on the first night every night. For her slow song she chose "Angels" by Robbie Williams which I had to admit was done well. Finally she gave us all a lesson in latin dancing with Ricky Martin's "Livin' La Vida Loca" she had us all pair up. Surprisingly Justin was matched with her and she was dancing all over him like white on rice and he seemed to be enjoy it which made me mad because despite his fight with Tiff he was a married man with a kid.

After all the dances were over Darren commented on how he enjoyed the variety and styles of music and how he would enjoy incorporating all our styles and personalities together to have a killer tour lined up. The rest of the day it was rehearsal, nothing but rehearsal, aside from our 30 minute lunch break.

After hours of shopping Erica and Tiffany stopped in to McDonalds in the mall and got lunch. Tiffany gave Randy some french fries and ice cream which felt good because he was teething.

"He's so adorable Tiff." Erica said as she watched him eat a french fry.

"Yea he's a cutie. And he's really changed my life a lot."

"I hope my kid comes out as sweet as both Randy and Tristan, you're so lucky. My adventure is just begining."

"What do you mean. Erica are you?" Tiffany smiled.

"Yup. Just about 3 weeks along."

"Awe congratulations. Does JC know yet?"

"Yea I told him last night. He's so excited. You have no clue how jelous he was of Justin and Lance for getting to have kids already he's wanted to be a dad since we got married."

"Well it's good you've had time to wait."

Erica and Tiffany went back to her house and gabbed some more about babies and all she would be going through in the next 9 months.

At 7:30 JC came home and was shocked to see Tiffany there.

"Hey Tiffany. How's it going?" He asked knowing about the fight.

"Great, how was rehearsal?" She asked.

"Long, hard, and tiring. "

"Listen JC." Erica said. "Tiff and Justin had a fall out..."

"I know Justin told us." JC chimed in.

"Well..." Erica continued "She's gonna stay here for the night to get away from him and she doesn't want him to know she's here. So if he calls or stops by she isn't here alright?"

"Yea sure. But won't he notice her car out front?"

"Oh right! We'll put her car in the garage and leave mine out for the night."

"All right I'll go pull it out. Give me your keys Tiffany and I'll go ahead and put it in the garage for you."

"Thanks JC I really appreciate it. Justin can be such an ass sometimes."

"Well not to get involved but why did you tell him to quit?"

"I didn't tell him to quit just take a little break like a few months."

"He told us that you said you wanted him to quit and wanted him around 24/7."

"Go figure. Justin embellishing the truth. Why am I not surprised."

Justin arrived home at 7:45 only to find Tiffany's car missing from the garage. It wasn't like her to take the baby and go and still be out at almost 8. She always made sure to be home because she usually put Randy down to bed at about 8. He sat around for at least another hour waiting for her to get back. He was starting to feel bad about what he had said last night and realized that maybe he took it way to the extreme. After an hour had past he became worried. He decided to call around to see if anyone had heard from her.

He picked up the phone and went down the list starting with Lance and I.

"Hello?" Lance answered.

"Lance, did Tiff call or leave a message with you guys?"

Lance handed me the phone "Justin what's wrong?"

"Tiff isn't home and you know it's not like her to be out this late with the baby going to bed at 8. Has she called you guys?"

"No, I'm sorry Justin. If I hear from her I'll let you know."

"Thanks." He hung up and called her other friends and even her parents back in Maryland hoping she hadn't gone up there. He finally called to JC's house after about 3 additional hours of worrying to see if Erica had heard from her.

"Hello?" Erica answered.

"Hey Erica, it's Justin. I was just wondering if you've heard from Tiffany by chance?"

"Umm, no.....why?"

"She isn't home and I don't know where she is that's all."

"Hey Erica I need to ask him something about rehearsal tomorrow can I talk to him." JC said.

"Sure. Listen Justin, JC has something he needs to ask you about tomorrow, here he is." She said handing him the phone. Jc left the room and walked down the hall.

"Hey Justin." JC whispered.

"Hi, why are you whispering?" Justin asked.

"I don't want Erica to hear me. Listen Justin, Tiffany is here with the baby. They didn't want me to tell you but I had to."

"Thank you so much. Listen I'm gonna be right over. I won't blab that I found out from you I'll just show up looking all worried. I don't wanna get you in trouble."

"Sure. See ya."

Within 15 minutes Justin was on their front doorstep ringing the bell. Jc ran down the steps to answer it. Erica followed behind.

"Justin, dude what are you doing here?" Jc played dumb.

"I was just driving around looking for Tiff and I saw your car outside and I just wanted to let you know cause I know how you never leave it outside and I heard it's suppose to rain later tonight."

"That's so considerate. Come on in for awhile and have a drink." Erica offered, leading him into the kitchen. She poured him a drink and they all gathered at the kitchen table. He went on and on about how worried he was about Tiffany. All of a sudden Randy started to cry in the upstairs room and Justin couldn't help but notice it.

"Are you babysitting?" Justin asked.

"Umm yea, if you'll excuse me for a moment." Erica said.

"No, let me." Justin said running up the stairs and into the room where the crying was coming from.

"Tiffany." Justin said with a smile when he opened the door. Erica was caught up with him moments later.

"Thanks you 2 way to not let him know I'm here."

"I'm sorry he just ran up here when he heard Randy."

"Listen Tiff, don't be mad at them. You've had me worried for the past 4 and a half hours! I called everywhere. And I've had a lot of time to think. I'm sorry I blew up yesterday. It's just I can't quit my career. I signed papers, I love what I do and I know we have to make sacrifices but in the end things are gonna be great. I went and arranged so that you and Randy can go on tour with me and be there so I don't miss you for like 3 months or some ridiculous amount of time. Then after the tour I'm all yours for awhile. I'm trying as hard as I can Tiff and it hurts that you think I'm not around and not being a father. That's all."

"Justin you're a great husband and father. I never said I wanted you to quit I know you love what you do. I'm glad you thought about what I said at least. Maybe you're not such a prick." She smiled at him "It's just sometimes I feel like I have a lot of responsibility and a lot of pressure on me taking care of Randy alone. I guess all I want is some more time for us to be together and not have to worry about rehearsals and tour. But I did forget about the tour and how we'll be there with you. I guess I can deal with it for awhile. Just as long as when the tour is over we have time to ourselves for awhile. That's all I'm asking." She replied.

"I promise" he said as the made up with a kiss. The two gathered her belongings and thanked Erica and JC and they each got in their cars and drove back to their house for a peaceful night.
