Chapter 30

Within an hour we were sitting on the plane getting ready to take off for beautiful Cancun. This would be the first week in a long time that I had been away from my family and friends. But I was with Lance now and that's all I was thinking about right now, along with other small things. Hand in hand we sat as the plane took off and I gazed out the window. I watched as slowly the buildings and trees grew smaller and smaller and soon disappeared as the clouds dominated my view.

Fifteen minutes into the ride the in-flight movie began. It was The Sixth Sense. I paid attention probably the first 15 minutes and dozed off into a light nap. I awoke an hour later to find the movie almost over. I sat quietly as my worried thoughts went rampid in my mind. Five minutes later I called Lance's attention.

"Lance." I said just loud enough for him to look in my direction.

"Yea?"

"Do you regret any of this stuff that's happened to us in less than a year?" I asked

"Not at all. Why do you ask?"

"I don't know I've just been thinking some weid stuff lately."

"Ok." He paused "What about you? Do you regret any of it?"

"No, I just feel so wrong, and too young sometimes. It's just a little anxiety I guess I mean cause I really couldn't be happier." I smiled. Somehow I felt reassured about something.

A couple more hours passed and we had arrived finally in Cancun. We quickly got off the plane got our bags and hailed a cab to our hotel a mere 5 minutes away. After checking in we got into the elevator and went up to our room, room 606, to unpack and settle in.

I took a moment and walked over to the balcony window and opened the sliding door. The gentle, fresh breeze kissed my face as the view took over all my senses with it's beauty.

"Honey come here." I signaled for Lance who came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me.

"Nice isn't it." He said.

"Gorgeous"

"Well don't let yourself think this is it. We've got a week here and so much more to see. But first let's go out to diner then we'll come back and rest up."

So we went out to the lovely little cafe near the ocean where we sat in our own private room lit with candels where we could watch the sun set over the water. We then walked out onto the deserted beach and sat for a moment or two before retreating to the hotel.

When we returned to the hotel we got ready and climbed into bed and turned on the television for awhile. I laid in Lance's embrace when somethng unexpected happened.

"Oh my god" I said in a calm tone as I slightly sat up. I placed a hand on my stomach.

"What, what is it?" Lance said as he sat up with me.

I had a big smile on my face "Our baby. It kicked."

"Is it still kicking?" He asked.

"Off and on. They're just little, but I can feel them." I laid back down and so did Lance.

"Give me your hand" I said. He put his hand in mine and I placed it on my stomach. Nothing happened for several minutes. But surely within 15 minutes the baby kicked it again.

"Did you feel that?" I asked.

He nodded.

The next day we woke up, got dressed, and ate. After our meal we walked around to some of the shops along the beach and then found ourselves sitting on the edge of a dock nearby watching all the people frolic in the sand and water. I knew I was pregnant and all but I still felt bad sitting there in a sundress the showed that I was obviously pregnant while hundreds of people pranced about in bikinis and halter tops.

The next couple of days on our trip we just did normal stuff and relaxed and just enjoyed the traditional celebration of marriage. When our week had come to an end it was hard to rip ourselves away from the paradise but we managed and got on our plane back to Florida. When we arrived we stayed at home peacefully for 3 days having all our friends and family believing we were still on our honeymoon. This was basically to recoup and get our married life off to a good start.

After our days of seclusion we called the family and some friends to let them know we were back and alive. Many times we heard again how much they loved the ceremony and how it all went so well. But for all the complements something always tends to go wrong. One of the first people I called after my Dad and my aunt was Alana. Apparently she had her own happy times at my wedding also. Her and Chris realized that they weren't in a real relationship just a friendship so she was now a single woman but was surely scouting. Thanks to her father's job in late February she would be scouting down in Florida about 30 minutes away from me.

Months had past and the guys had went out a few weeks here and there for promotional gigs for the new album and the upcoming tour in spring. The winter brought many things, one No snow which was a change from my Maryland atmosphere. Also in February I had completed my required courses and was able to take up the opportunity to graduate early.

Now it was a few days into April and I was defintely looking very much pregnant and feeling it too. Not as much as Tiffany though. She was due within the next 2 weeks but wishing it would come out now because she was tired of being so sore and tired. Tiffany and Justin had decided to wait till the baby was born to find out it's sex. But of course they had a few names picked out. If it was a boy possibly Randall James Timberlake and for a girl maybe Valerie Ann. Knowing that shortly they would be parents they thought it best to get married since they already had lived together for several months as well as were the creators of this child that would soon be entering the world.

Tiffany's parents were still very much upset with her over the pregnancy but they had come to terms and were somewhat trying to be happy for the way her and Justin's lives had come together.

Now it was Tuesday, April 18th, Tiffany's birthday.Due to other commitments on the previous weekend we had to actually have her party on her birthday. So at 3 pm that afternoon our little clan gathered at Justin and Tiff's place for a party.

We had just gotten done with cake and ice cream and were just sitting in their living rrom talking. Tiffany had gotten a little exhausted so she went to lay down for half an hour But 15 minutes into her nap she yelled

"Justin come here!" She yelled from their room upstairs. He casually went upstairs. As he opened the door it became obvious to him that she didn't just call him in to get her a glass of water.

"It's time" she said taking a deep breath. Her water had just broken and they had to get her to the hospital.

Justin ran into the closet and got her suitcase out that they already had packed last week. As Justin helped her down the stairs he called out.

"Jen, you're in those baby, what to do, breathing classes right?" Justin asked quickly.

"I don't think that's exactly what they call it but yea, why?" I shouted from the other room.

"Good well tell me what to do!" He yelled.

"What?" I asked as I rounded the corner and saw him supporting her with his right arm and the suitcase in his left hand.

"Hey guys, one of you come here NOW" I shouted and Joey quickly came.

"Grab the suitcase from him and help her get in the car." I instructed him. "Justin you get her to the hospital A.S.A.P. And I''ll call ahead and let them know you're on the way. Good Luck Tiff. We'll be there to see you later in a few hours."

"Thanks" she said as they went through the front door. It was obvious the contractions were really starting.

I quickly ran over to the phone and called to inform te hospital. Next I called Tiff and Justin's parents and they were all going to try to go quickly to the hospital to greet their new grandchild.

All of us who were left sat in the living room just as before. There was no use in going to the hospital yet because it could be many hours till the baby came.

"Wasn't that exciting. Way to crash the party" Joey joked.

"Are you gonna pull that too?" Chris asked me.

" I don't think this kid is gonna be in there that long. I'm only due in three weeks."

"At least we're all prepared incase it decides to come early." Lance said.

"What about names?" Alana asked.

"Oh we've got a few picked out and ready. It'll just come down to what happens that day when we finally find out what we're having." I answered. We too had decided to wait till the birth to find out the baby's sex.

§¤ Hours later At the hospital ¤§

"God is this thing ever coming out?" Tiffany screamed as she experienced the normal hormonal problems associated with labor.

"It's ok Tiffany, you're moving along well. I"m going to have you push in just a moment. It's about time. Are you ready?" Dr. Watson asked Tiffany.

"YES! GET THIS THING OUT NOW!" She insisted as she tightly squeezed Justin's hand.

"All right Tiff it's all you now when I say push you push as hard as you can and the faster the baby comes out. Ready now PUSH" the doctor insisted. With her orders Tiffany stuggled and pushed followed by a huge gasp for air.

"That a girl a few more minutes and you're there PUSH" the doctor insisted again.

"Come on baby, I'm right here." Justin said trying to somewhat comfort her in any way possible.

"Yea, you better be here, you did this to me!" She hollered. Justin just smirked at the comment since the doctors already had told him to expect such comments.

Minutes later the labor was at it's peak of intensity.

"One more push and we'll have the baby's head out." Dr. Watson said as Tiffany put all her might into that push. Successfully the head came out. "Now were almost there a few more pushes, you can do it."

"I can't do this anymore." Tiffany said half in tears and out of breath.

"Yes you can" Justin said grabbing her hand. "Now push"

A few pushes later the baby was out.

"Congratulations, you two have a gorgeous baby boy." Dr. Watson announced.

Tiffany and Justin were both filled with joy as they exchanges small kisses . They went with their first inclination and named their new pride and joy Randall James Timberlake, who would most likely acquire the nickname Randy.

A few weeks later near the end of April the guys were rehearsing and doing some small warm-up concerts around the Florida area to get back in the swing for the upcoming tour that would officially start in about 2 months. These warm up concerts were good for the guys to get their routine under their belts and also so Justin could be near Tiff and Randy in his first couple of months.
