This is a view from the "bad guys" (depending on your political views).
It shows the sled (a hastily-made mock-up which has since been replaced) and the heros coming down from the surface to stop the process.
If you were playing this game, you might realize that being ON the sled is not as good a strategy as would be being UNDER the sled. Fortunately, the way this game is designed, you can do both. Frankly, I just thot of this and nobody has ever done it that way. So if you run the sled low and the guys are under it, it would take the orange team a while to get to where they could even TRY to shoot at them.
But you must also remember that the sled can out-run men so it would have to go slow enough that the guys using it as a shield could keep up with it - AND not exhaust themselves. In this game a man can swim at a fast speed but only in bursts and has to rest or will be weakened if he sprints up to a knife fight.
