Wood Stork

Wood Stork ~ Mycteria americana ~ Wood Storks are white with a black featherless head and neck, a long bill, long legs, and long neck. They are about 35 inches long with a wingspan of about 70 inches. Wood Storks feed by touch. They walk through the water with their bill open under the surface. When something touches the bill it snaps shut quickly trapping the food inside.
