Great Blue Heron ~ Ardea herodias ~ Great Blue Herons are tall long legged long necked herons. They are about 4 feet tall with a wingspan of 7 feet. They are the largest heron in North America. They are grey blue with white feathers around the head and neck and a yellow bill.
