EISERNTOR ANATOLIANS
SALES CONTRACT & HEALTH GUARANTEE

1. I, SALLY JAFFE (hereinafter designated as BREEDER), guarantee this Anatolian puppy to be healthy and free of disease upon receipt by BUYER. Every effort has been made by BREEDER to produce a litter both physically and mentally sound. BREEDER will stand behind this breeding to the extent stated below. However, BUYER accepts full responsibility for the proper care once the pup leaves the BREEDER. BREEDER cannot be held responsible for the death, injury, deformity, or temperament of the pup due to illness, accident, or deviation from adequate care and socialization required for an Anatolian Shepherd Dog.

2. I, ............................. (hereinafter designated as BUYER), agree to have this puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receipt. If health problems are found, the animal may be returned to BREEDER within three (3) days for a full refund or replacement. If this pup is returned for reasons other than health related within the allotted time, it is understood that the $200.00 deposit is nonrefundable.

3. If this dog is sold as a "Companion animal", BUYER agrees to have this dog neutered between six (6) and eighteen (18) months of age or, if already more than twelve months of age, within 180 days (6 months). If this dog is not neutered within the specified time, this contract is null and void unless other arrangements are made with breeder.

This dog is sold as a “Show Prospect”, and BREEDER guarantees that this dog has no defects (i.e., bad bite, blue eyes, etc.) that would disqualify this dog from being shown in a conformation dog show. However, the BREEDER does NOT guarantee that said dog will win in the show ring, as that must depend on the training and showmanship of the person exhibiting the dog.

This dog is sold as a "Breeding Prospect", and BREEDER guarantees that this dog has no obvious defects that would prevent the siring or whelping of healthy pups. However, this dog is considered NON-BREEDING until such time as OFA, thyroid and CERF examinations are performed (after reaching 24 months of age) and the dog has been certified clear of hip dysplasia (at least OFA good or better), hypothyroidism and entropion. NOTE: BUYER also agrees that any breeding that does take place (after genetic testing is completed and results are known) will be only to another Anatolian Shepherd Dog that has been OFA cleared, thyroid tested normal and tested free of entropion.

If this dog is bred or sires a litter of pups before being cleared of the aforementioned genetic defects, or is bred to other than an Anatolian, this contract is null and void.

4. GUARANTEE: This dog is guaranteed to be free of hereditary hip dysplasia upon permanent radiographic evaluation performed at 24-30 months of age. BUYER agrees to have this dog's hips radiographically examined by a State licensed Veterinarian and then sent to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals in Columbia, MO, for evaluation. Upon receipt, a copy of the evaluation will be sent to BREEDER. If hip dysplasia is diagnosed due to genetic defect, and all prerequisites have been met for the health and well being of the dog as specified in this contract, breeder will (at her discretion) refund one-third contract price.

BUYER must provide written proof of hip dysplasia, and proof the dog has been neutered. The dog does NOT have to be returned to BREEDER. If dog is not neutered, this guarantee is null and void.

5. If BUYER is unable to keep this dog for any reason, BUYER agrees to return it to BREEDER at buyer’s expense and foregoes all rights to said dog. This dog may not be sold, transferred to another person, given away, placed in an Animal Shelter, or euthanized without written permission from BREEDER. The exception to euthanasia would be in the case of severe injury or suffering on the part of the dog.

6. BUYER agrees to provide adequate fencing (at least 5 feet high) adjacent to and accessible from BUYER'S home to ensure this dog's safety; and to provide adequate protection from excessive heat and cold. This dog shall be neither continuously tied or allowed to roam at large.

7. BUYER agrees to obedience train and properly socialize this dog from the day of receipt, and to provide adequate veterinary care, including, but not limited to annual checkups including heartworm and fecal tests; to keep all immunizations current according to American Veterinary Medical Association guidelines; to properly administer heartworm and flea preventative; and to provide necessary medical treatment in the event of accident/injury to the dog.

8. BUYER agrees to feed a high quality complete dog food containing no “meat by-products” and with correct protein and fat levels (21-24% protein and 12-15% fat). Feeding a too low or too high protein, too low or too high fat food, and/or unbalanced vitamin/mineral supplements is detrimental to the health of your pup and nullifies the health guarantee for said dog (see FEEDING YOUR ANATOLIAN PUPPY. Breeder recommends Eagle Pack Large & Giant Breed 23/12 puppy food until this pup is 18-24 months old, then Eagle Pack Natural 23/12. Also recommended is Nzymes Fortified Bac-Pac Plus (see Probiotics and enzymes supplement) for the total health of your Anatolian.

9. BUYER agrees to pay TWELVE HUNDRED and no/100 dollars ($1,200.00) for this Anatolian Shepherd Dog, of which TWO HUNDRED and NO/100 dollars has been already been paid as a binder to reserve the aforementioned pup. Remaining payment must be received in full by cash or money order made payable to “SALLY JAFFE” before puppy is delivered to BUYER.

10. Further contractual agreements:
----a. This dog must be registered under the “EISERNTOR” kennel name, with “EISERNTOR” preceding the name chosen from BREEDER’s approved list of Turkish names (see TURKISH NAMES FOR TURKISH DOGS).
----b. ALL transportation expenses are the responsibility of BUYER. Air or ground shipping is available; however, it is preferred that BUYER pick up the puppy in person or use Ground Transport.
