After I started reading this e-book I discovered it was nothing like I had thought it would be. It is more angled toward Estelle's life instead of the working girl Lacie. This is the first book in the Maison d’Estelle saga and it definitely intrigued me to read the rest of the stories. Estelle is a very strong female character that readers will applaud her for her courage and wish for her a happy ending. However, it seems you must read the other books in the series for a satisfying closure to her story. Delphyne DeRouge takes you back to the trying times of the Civil War in a great way!!

Whites Lies was a great story of intrigue, romance and hair-raising adventures for a couple meant for each other. Their love is tested to the limits and beyond at times but in the end they are happily resolved. This e-book made me upset at one point but overall it was a very intriguing story with a sexy hero I loved. I applaud the author for the daring writing style....it was quite an adventure!!

I would like to read more like it!

Every since reading Celeste Anwar's Carnal Appetite months ago, I have been eager to read her next "carnal" erotic paranormal story. Carnal Knowledge was well worth waiting for. Through out the story, the sexual tension builds, until it is explodes later in the story, with a passionate scene that brings the two lovers to a satisfying completion. This is a great werewolf story, with an interesting "turning" scene that is chilling. I enjoyed this one very much!
