Ms. Simone


Miss Simone has been involved in many different adventures in her teaching career, including:
  • Serving as the assistant to the district science chairperson in New York.
  • Co-authoring two textbooks:Physis and the Human Body and Biological Lab Investigation.
  • Serving as a judge for the Long Island Science Congress for 5 years.
  • Designing and supervising construction of a Manhattan science lab.
  • Serving as the textbook selection chairperson in Long Island.
  • Serving on accredation committees for school standards.
  • Coaching cheerleaders.
  • Team 701 coordinator at IRMS.
  • Science competition coordinator at IRMS.
  • Supervising an astronomy club.
  • Coaching twirling.
  • Coaching superstars at athletic competitions.
    She attended Wagner College in Staten Island and Bregeng, Austria. Her graduate work was done at CW Post - LIU and Post Graduate work at Adelphi University, State University of New York at New Paltz, Ball State University, Indiana State, Purdue University, FAU, and St. Leo's.

    She has taught many subjects including biology, earth science, health, marine biology, math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and all of the sciences!

    She supervised elementary science programs. She is certified in science middle grades, biology, elementary education, and gifted education.

    After two decades of teaching, Ms. Simone still loves science and teaching young adults and would never think of leaving the classroom.

    Origionally from New York, Ms. Simone has lived in Europe, Indiana, and plans to remain in Florida!
