Big Ballin' CD Reviews

These CD's below are some of my favorites, I feel anyone who truly has love for the Southside should make an effort to give all these CD's a listen. ( Most of you ballers should allready own all these ) Peep them out!

This is my number 1 CD. Man, I loved this cd since I first heard it. This is U.G.K.'s 4th cd, 3rd full length that is. Their new CD (5th release)is called "Dirty Money", it's scheduled to drop this spring, we'll see what happens with the release date... Anyway, this is one of the tightest CD's ever. Bun B and Pimp C have gotten' so tight, i don't know if they can get any tighter! U.G.K. have been fetured as guest artists on so many releases, it's hard to say how many, from P's "Down South Hustlers", to the "Corruptor" movie soundtrack, it's been more that 10 releases, not to metion Bun B's solo verse's on Ace Duce, and Ca$h Money releases, and Pimp C's verse's on Meen Green, Lil' Sin, X_Mob, and so on... Every track on "Ridin' Dirty" is crunk. This CD is a legend like 8 Ball & MJG's "On The Outside Looking In" and "On Top Of The World". I feel all y'all should have this CD! It's really the Bible of southern rap and southern lifestyle, the CD is so deep, it's sill off the chain and it came out in '96! Like I said, it's my favorite CD 10 out of 10

This is the blueprint to Ballin'! This CD (Vol. 1 & 2) is for all the Stunta's and Playboy's out there. Manny and Baby are some ill niggas, talkin' about some 'ol slap-a-bitch, 20 inch riddin', kandy coated, boss flossin', endangered species boot wairin'-big baller type shit. When Vol. 1 dropped a while ago, it's the only CD me and my dog's would play, trippin' of that shit! They talkin' some spaceage 2000 baller shit. I've heard that some people felt this CD was wack, man, whatever... Whoever said that did'nt listen to the CD that good, they just game spillin' on wax, talkin' shit over a tight beat. CMR guest stars on this release help alot too, Juvi, B.G., Turk, Lil' wane, and Bun B all come tight as can be, like allways. Vol. 2 has a few new songs, along with a remix of "Stuntin'", which I feel was tighter on Vol. 1, but still crunk. If you got Vol. 1, don't rush out and get Vol. 2, but if you see it lyin' around, pick it up, vice-versa. Still play this CD at least once a week. 9 out of 10

Man, what can I say? this 2 CD set is crunk as a bitch, If you ain't got it yet, what the hell you waitin' for? This is some gold 'ol elbow a nigga rowdy-rowdy club shit, it's some get buck shit, go get a copy y'all, it's off the heazy. Both disc's: 7 out of 10

Gotta' love Trick Daddy! This is his second cd, this one went gold allready, I'm glad too, I'm from Central FL, Trick Daddy's from Dade, south FL, Miami man! This CD was kinda slept on at first, then it picked up. I feel it's a bit tighter than his last, which is still off the chain to me, pick that one up to if you dig this one. He has 2 videos out, his new one is "Nann Nigga", it's tight too. He got JT Money and Thrill from 69 in the viseo, it's some 'ol FL club shit, the motherfucker's tight, y'all need to get it, come see what some new FL shit sound's like! 8 out of 10

Yes, I do like bass music! I am in FL you know! Alot of y'all out there hate on bass music, and I know alot out there dig bass music. It's cool either way with me, I dig it, allways have. Raheem is an Atlanta Bass legend. This CD is pretty crunk. It's pretty solid, not to fruity, not to hardcore, just right. Raheem comes tight on all his songs, he allways has. Raheem also has a greatest hit's CD out, it's got all the classic's on there (for all the Kilo haters...). Raheem also got a new CD out, it came out on March 23, I have'nt picked it up yet, when I see it I'll buy it. If it's as crunk as "Tight 4 Life" here, I know y'all bass music fan's will dig it too. The best track is the megamix by DJ Red, it's got a tight little beat, somethin' to get the club crunk... 7 out of 10

S.P.M. is a cold motherfucker. I met him at a car show in Atlanta back in 98', that's a raw dude. He got a flow, a sound like nobody I've ever heard. This is his 3rd cd too, again, alot of people slept on his first 2 CD's, go get those if you dig this one. This 2 CD set is some crunk-ass H-Town funk. The first CD is all his songs normal, track to track. The second disc is a Screwed mix by the one and only livin' legend DJ Screw, this is some shit to bump when you got cottonmouth if y'all feel me... 7 out of 10

Man, get some Nodozz, 'cause this release on Fisher Boy records was slept hard-on (no pun int.) This CD is too tight!!! Plenty on folks in H-Town know about this one (don't y'all!) but the rest of us non-suryp drinkers out here have'nt. This is like H-Town's best kept secret. This boy can rap fast. When I say fast, I'm talkin' Twista's gotta rewind that shit and listen again. This cat can sing as well as he can rap, which are both amazing. I have yet to meet someone I've played this disc for that has not been blown the fuck away. I know some cat's who rap here in Central FL here, they tight as hell too, anyway, I played the CD for them and they were like "what!" They knew this boy had super rhymin' skills from planet crunk. GO GET THIS CD, that's all I can say, if you see it, elbow your boy outa' the way and get that shit! 10 out of 10

This is a DJ Screw related release. It's got some tight-ass tracks on it. My boy 3-2 is on there, that's my dog, I dig that cat. The whole CD is pretty tight, some tracks stand out more that others, but it's all around pretty solid if you dig H-Town rap. 7 out of 10

B.G., this is a bad lil' nigga. This cat did some 'ol bounce rap's over trigger man records before he could ride a bike. This cat has 4 release's out, a 5th on the way, and he's only 18! He just off lock-down for some shit, now he's ready to drop his first CD under the new Universal/ Ca$h Money co-label. After Juvi's shit goin' platnium and the Big Tymers doin' good, I can't see anything else on Ca$h Money Records doin' less than gold, quote me on that shit. I mean the Hot Boys CD has sold over 400,000 units so far, and that's just on stright Ca$h Money label, you do the math. And whan's the last time you saw an ad for Hot Boys first release? I know man, I know... Anyway, "It's all on you" vol.1 & 2 are both tight man. They are fairly common to the mom-and-pop record stores, pick them both up and act like you've been down for a second if you have'nt. I know y'all will dig these, it's a way to hold yourself over untill his new joint drops ( April something ). Both cd's 8.5 out of 10

If you don't have this CD yet, get the fuck off my homepage. Ca$h Money re-released this CD with 2 new remixes of "Ha", one with Jay-z and one with the Hot Boys. The Hot Boys one is on fire, the Jay-z one is lukewarm. The re-release also has Juvi's new single "Follow me now", which he also has a video for, it's pretty tight, I liked the "Ha" video better, but this one which was shot in L.A. is o.k.. 8.5 out of 10
