| UPDATE: April 8, 2002 |
The Florida Con-Quest events ran pretty well. We had new players and names from the past, including Jason Burrows and my favorite Jawa (QJ), who brought out some old skool decks to play! Top Dagobite, David Irvine, fought his way to an undefeated day and kicked off the Road to Worlds in 2002. He outlasted Justin Alderman of Tampa in the Final Confrontation, and walked away with a sweet trophy and another trip to SWCCG Worlds competition.
Lord of the Rings was very successful and we had plenty of demos throughout the weekend. Sunday's Lord of the Rings event, "Smackdown 2002" was great fun. The six game event ended with Tampa's Mike Blumberg taking the title of Smackdown Champion and walking away with the Arwen, DoE FOIL. Mike was also one of the several who performed Lord of the Rings demo's throughout the weekend, showing that he was the right man for the job!
A special thanks to QJ for helping me plan the ConQuest events start to finish. Without her I couldn't have put on such great events. I'd also like to thank my other volunteers: Mitch Velasco, Chris Revenaugh, Tony Duncan, Mike Blumberg, and Howard Busch for helping make the events happen. These guys worked hard throughout the weekend to make it fun for the participants. I would also like to thank all the participants who attended and I hope you had a fantastic time! And finally, I'd like to thank Decipher for their generocity in providing the materials for our sealed deck events and several of the vast prizes given away throughout the weekend.
If I get a chance, I will try to post more pics of ConQuest, and some of Smackdown.
Until next time.

| UPDATE: May 11, 2001 |
Today I've posted a full text version of all of the official Tatooine spoilers we've seen before. I find it so much easier to compare and contrast the new cards when I have a whole list in front of me, so I made one to share.
If you find any errors or cards I've left out, please e-mail me so I can correct the problem. I'll also be reviewing the list for accuracy over the next few days.
As a final note, I just want to nitpick for a second. Decipher certainly is inconsistent in what they choose to capitalize, punctuate and use numerals for (or perhaps there's some pattern I was unable to determine). As a editor, it was really distracting to type. (Hey, it's always easier to the work of others than your own).
Anyway, have fun.

Even though we love to think that we're very original, the truth is that there was a Beakman's World in existance before ours. "Beakman (c) 1992 Jok R. Church / Universal Press Syndicate" is also a comic strip and Beakman's World is a children's show on CBS. Thanks to Jok R. Church and Universal Press Syndicate for allowing us to keep the name "Beakman's World."
