Llewellyn also enjoys writing "confession" style short stories and nonfiction articles. She gives workshops on writing fiction when time allows. "I guess I've always written love stories, but once I found the romance genre, I knew I found a home for my writing." Llewellyn began storytelling using pictures and storyboards long before she could write, and started three novels in high school. She originally chose nursing when she attended college. But after spending time with Norman Mailer one fateful summer, she soon changed her major to English and earned her B.A. at Salem State College in Massachusetts. Her decision served her well in the corporate world as she ventured into desktop publishing, advertising/marketing, and working as a corporate writer/editor.
