Movie 1: Shenlon No Himitsu This movie is basially a retelling of the setup storyline of the original Dragonball. It tells about the introduction of the characters and their opening journey, but this time Gokou meets up with Gurumesu, who is a fat monster. Gurumesu is going to use the Dragonballs to wish for great-tasting food. Before Gurumesu can summon the eternal dragon, Buruma summons him first to wish for a boyfriend. Before Buruma can make her wish, the daughter of the mayor of the local town jumps in and wishes for the dragon to restore the countryside to the way it was before Gurumesu. Shenlong grants the wish, the countryside is restored, and Gurumesu is turned into a normal looking fat guy who simply enjoys food. At the conclusion of the movie, Gokou goes back on his journey to find Dragonball number four.
Movie 2: Majinjou no Nemuri Hime This movie happens when Gokou and Kullilin go to Muten Roshi to ask to be accepted as his student. Roshi says he will accept them as his students if they can venture far to the east to the mountains to the "Castle of the Sleeping Princess." Whoever brings back the beautiful princess to Roshi (old perverted man) will become Roshi's new students. Buruma, Oolong, Yamucha, and Puuaru go to the castle to look for Gokou but they get attacked along the way by demons. Buruma is taken into the castle and is treated as a guest by the owner of the castle, Lucifer. Lucifer reveals himself as an enemy when it is time to awaken the Sleeping Princess, which is actually a giant priceless jewel. Shitsuji is going to drain Buruma's blood witha tremendous syringe until Gokou and Kullilin come by to save her. Now Roshi comes into the scene to steal the jewel himself and everyone is captured and enclosed in a cement wall.Now it has turned to a full moon as the moonlight is used to power the jewel. The moonlinght also turns Gokou into his Oozaru form. Everyone escapes as Gokou uses his kamehameha to destroy Lucifer's giant laser (Lucifer was going to use the laser to destroy the sun and thus begin the time of darkness). All is well and Gokou and Kullilin return to Kame House where Roshi accepts them both as his students.
Movie 3: Maka Fushigi Daiboken This is the movie where Chaozu is first introduced. The movie is similar to Movie 1 because it also seems to retell the Dragonball story line. it begins when Gokou and Kullilin and Gokou are training for another Tenkaichi Boudoukai that will take placce inb the country of Miifan. Chaozu is the Emperor of Miifan. Chaozu is looking for his "Ran Ran," which is his doll. Tao Pie Pie and Tsuru-sennin are hired by Chaozu to find the Dragonballs but are actually planning on, with the help of Tenshinhan, killing Chaozu and taking over his country. To make a long story short, Tenshinhan likes Chaozu too much to kill him so instead he kills Tsuru-sennin. Gokou kills Tao Pie Pie and asks Shenlong to bring Bora back from the dead.
This movie is the first of thirteen Dragonball Z movies. This movie is called "Dead Zone" in America and the main enemy is Garlic Jr. The movie begins with a tiny little runt of a Namekian called Garlic Jr. who wants to gather the Dragonballs to grant himself immortality. Because young Gohan had the number four dragonball attached to his hat, Garlic and his three other Namekian goons kidnap Gohan. This obviously draws in Gokou and the rest of the gang. Garlic plans to kill Piccolo because killing Piccolo will kill Kami-sama. Piccolo and Gokou totally destroy Garlic's goons while Garlic Jr. gets his wish granted and recieves immortality. He is now unkillable. Garlic and Kami fight but Garlic Jr. wins and doesn't kill him right away. Garlic transforms and becomes considerably larger and more powerful. Gokou and Piccolo beat on Garlic for a while until garlic opens what he calls a "dead zone" which is a type of black hole. Gohan, who is still drunk because one of Garlic's men gave him a halucenagenic apple, gets angry to see Gokou getting hurt and creates a move called an Energy Dan. The Energy Dan is a powerful aura that surrounds Gohan and pushes Garlic Jr. into the Dead Zone. Garlic is immortal so he will be sealed in the Dead Zone forever.
I didn't like this movie that much at all. To tell you the truth I didn't like any of the first three Dragonball Z movies. This is mainly because they sucked and because I have only seen them in censored dubbed American form. Anyway, the World's Strongest begins as Dr. Kouchin wishes for Dr. Wheel's laboratory to be released from the ice. Gohan and Oolong discovered him making the wish and Piccolo arrived to save them from Dr. Kouchin's bio men but Piccolo gets captured while Gohan and Oolong escape. Dr Wheel is only a brain and is seaerching for the body of the world's strongest man. Because Wheel is encased in ice for so long he thinks that Kamesennin is still the strongest man on Earth. This is because Muten Roshi won the Tenkaichi Boudoukai fifty years earlier. Dr. Wheel soon discovers that Gokou is the world's strongest man. Gokou finds out about Kamesennin and goes to the lab with Gohan and Kullilin. Gohan and Kullilin take on the brain-washed Piccolo until Gohan becomes very angry and screams until the mind control bands break and Piccolo is released from the mind control. then Dr.Wheel pulls away from his wall and decides to fight Gokou. Wheel goes into outer space to get away from Gokou until he gets nailed with a Genki Dama from Gokou. The movie ends with Kamesennin saying that he really is the world's strongest guy and Buruma corrects him by saying that he is "the world's dirtiest old man."
The Tree of Might begins as Kullilin, Buruma, Oolong, and Gohan are camping in a forest when a satellite crashes down into the forest they are staying at and begins a fire. They summon the Dragon and use their wish to restore the forest to the way it was before the fire. Gohan befriends a dragon he saves named Hiiya Dragon. It becomes his pet. Now the scene flashes to outer space where a Saiya-jin space ship containing Taurus, a Gokou look-alike, and five other minions. Taurus is a saiya-jin, just like Gokou and wants either Gokou or Gohan to come with him to destroy planets. Taurus plants a seed of the Tree of Might and it sucks energy from the earth. Taurus plans to eat the fruit of the tree which contains all of the energy from the Earth. This will give him a tremendous power-up. There is a long and enduring battle between Gokou and Taurus and eventually Gokou uses a Genki Dama to destroy the tree. The energy from the tree returns to Earth and all is well once again.
This movie opens up as Gohan and the Hiiya Dragon go to visit Piccolo to show him the new dance that he has taught the Dragon. piccolo screams in pain and begs Gohan to stop.Now there is a planetoid on a collision course with Earth and this causes a tremendous panic. Gokou and Kullilin try to deflect the planetoid but it smashes into Earth anyway and turns out to be a spaceship that just landed on Earth for refueling. The ship is commanded by Slag who demands the Earthlings leave in three days. Slag launches a weather satellite that covers the planet in ice and snow, making Earth more hospitable for Slag's henchman to come out and mess with the people of Earth. Slag gathers the Dragonballs and wishes for his youth back. Slag now becomes a Super Namek. Gokou and Piccolo get senzu beans from Yaji-robe and go to fight Slag. Gokou gets beaten pretty badly only because Slag grows to giant proportions. Piccolo gives Gokou his energy, and rips off his own ears. Piccolo then tells Gohan to whistle and because whistling causes nameks great pain (Namekians have a more sensitive auditory system than humans) Gokou now flies up above the clouds to gather energy for his Genki Dama that will kill Slag. It does. Piccolo can regenerate limbs so his ears grow back and all is well again when the warriors get senzu beans from Yaji-robe.
The fifth movie out of thirteen is about Kooler, Frieza's brother. When Frieza was at the planet Vegeta, Kooler was watching in his own space ship and he even saw Gokou leave from the planet in his space pod. Twenty years into the future, Kooler recieves notice that his brother has been killed by the legendary Super Saiya-jin. Kooler wants to experience the power of a Super Saiya-jin himself and he goes to Earth to fight Gokou. Kooler is introduced when Kullilin, Gokou, and Gohan are on a camping trip and are attacked by Kooler's goons. Piccolo kills all of Kooler's man and then Kooler and Goku fight. In the end, Kooler is blown into the sun by a massive energy ball formed by Gokou.
This movie is about a giant planet eating space ship that lands on the Namek's new home planet. The planet is being eaten, piece by piece, by the space ship and the Namek elders call to Dende for help. Dende tells the Z warriors about this Gokou, Gohan, Krillin, Kamesennin, Oolong, Yaji-robe, and Piccolo all go to the planet. Vegeta leaves separately on his own. Kooler has survived the last fight with Gokou and is inside the ship, called the Big Geta Star. They arrive at the planet and all of the Z warriors besides Gokou and Vegeta are taken into the ship so their power levels will power the Big Geta Star. Kooler fights Gokou and Vegeta and the two get totally beaten within an inch of their life. They are used to power the ship as well. Gokou and Veheta use their Super Saiya-jin power to over heat the ship. Gokou finds the real Kooler and kills him. End of story.
This movie is about Dr.Gero's computer who, after Gero himself is killed, continues making androids. They construct Androids #13, #14, and #15. Android 13 is a tall, white haired android who looks like a Saiya-jin with white hair. He wears a baseball cap in the beginning but it gets knocked off. Android 14 is a huge muscular, American Indian looking android. And finally, Android 15 is a short, purple skinned, tacky, pimp-looking android. Android 14 is killed by Trunks, #15 is killed by Vegeta, and 13 is killed by Gokou. Now you can see why it is called "The Three Super Saiyans." Android 13 absorbs the microchips inside of the other Androids heads and becomes larger and more powerful. He is eventually destroyed when Gokou creates a huge Genki Dama and asbsorbs the power from it. Gero's computer shuts down afterwards.
In this movie we learn of the planet New Vegeta, which is the planet all of the Saiya-jin went to after Frieza killed all of the Saiya-jin. Email me if that makes any sense to you. Okay back to the movie, at a party a man named Paragasu invites Vegeta to the planet to fight the Legendary Super Saiya-jin, Brolli. Paragasu introduced Vegeta to his wimpy son, Brolli. Eventually Gokou teleports to the planet as well and this makes Brolli go mad. After about a half hour of nothingness we learn that Brolli and Gokou were born on the same day on the original planet Vegeta. King Vegeta, Vegeta's father, had ordered Brolli and his father to be thrown away. Brolli, who's power level increases by 10,000 every year, was considered to be a threat which is why he was thrown away. Brolli's strength saved him and his father, Paragasu, from being killed. Brolli grew up tom be a homicidal killer and Paragasu had a mind-control band made that would turn Brolli into a zombie with no independent thought. Brolli still hated Gokou, and when he saw him he went absolutely crazy and turned into a Super-Saiya-jin, severly beating everyone. vegheta had heard the legend of the first Super Saiya-jin all his life and lost his composure when he was faced with the being he had heard of since he was small. Gokou summoned power from all of his friends, including Vegeta, and turned into a Super Saiya-jin as well. Gokou kills Brolli and teleports everyone to Piccolo's ship before the New Vegeta explodes.
The money family is hosting a Tenkaichi Budokai World Tournament as a present for their son, Dollar. The boy is looking forward to aliens coming down from space to fight in the tournament so Mr. Satan has four of his professional wrestling students dress up as aliens and fight in the tournament. Later on Satan's men are killed by real aliens and the aliens attack Kullilin, Gohan, Future Trunks, and Dousuki. The aliens are on the team of Bojack. Bojack was imprisoned by the Kaious hundreds of years before but he escaped. Bojack plans to kill Gohan for revenge. The Z fighters show up to fight five of Bojack's henchmen. Alot of fighting occurs as the Warriors are trashed and Bojack is about to kill Gohan. Gokou is watching from heaven and teleports back just long enough to kick Bojack and save Gohan. Gohan is now really angry and turns Super Saiya-jin 2. In his new form he easily kills Bojack and his men.
Trunks and Goten are out to find the dragonballs for no particular reason. Trunks wants to wish for things to ride and Goten wants to be able to eat cake whenever he wants to. While they are doing these foolish things, a Saiya-jin space pod containing Brolli lands nearby. Brolli thinks that Goten is Kakkarot (they look exactly the same, except one is young). They fight for a while until Gohan shows up. Gohan uses a blast to cover Brolli in lava but the lava doesnt phase him at all. Gohan passes out from the sight of the lava coming near him but he is saved by Kullilin. To beat Brolli Gohan, Goten, and Gokou perform a Triple Kamehameha and blast Brolli into the sun. Brolli is beaten this time but is it for good?
Android #18, who is now human and married to Kullilin goes to Mr. Satan to ask for the one billion zenni (DragonBalls's unit of money) that he owes her for letting Satan win in the last Tenkaichi Budoukai. Then someone shows up to bribe Mr. Satan into fighting some bio-men warriors (everyone on Earth still thinks Mr. Satan is the strongest guy in the universe). He bribes him by threatening to tell the media that Satan wet his bed in the sixth grade. Mr. satan agrees to fight and #18 follows them to make sure Satan doesn't run away like he always does. Goten and Trunks, who absolutely love to fight, hide in the back of the car to fight the bio-men too. Baron Jagaa Badda made some pro-wrestler-like men for Satan to fight. Satan tells Baron that Goten, Trunks, and #18 are his students and the three easily dispose of the bio-men. Now Baron reveals that he has used Brolli's blood to make the "Ultimate Bio Tech Warrior." Brolli is now a machine and Goten and Trunks try using their Kamehameha to destroy Brolli's capsule before he can fully develop. It does not work and Brolli emerges, yet he is seriously deformed. Trunks, Goten and 18 get beaten by Brolli and so does Kullilin when he shows up out of nowhere to defend his wife. Goten discovered that sea water will dissolve Brolli's mechanical parts so Kullilin, Goten, and Trunks combine their Kamehamehas to make a tidal wave that ashes over the island. The sea water makes Brolli vulnerable to Goten's energy attacks and he is now killed rather easily.
A battle is happening in heavens Tenkaichi Budoukai to settle who is the most powerful "good guy." The battle is between Gokou and Pike-han, a frog looking fighter. Elsewhere, Psysh Oni is inhabited by all of the evil souls from the "Spritz Cleaner, which is basically a big washing machine that takes all of the evil from souls that are going to hell. All of this evil concentrates into Psych and creates Janenba, who looks like a big, playful, Pokémon that likes to hurt things. On earth everythng comes up from Hell including Hitler and his army an Freeza who is killed in one punch from the Geat Saiyaman, Gohan. Gohan and Goten look for the Dragonballs to set things on Earth straight again. they find all of the Dragonballs and summon Shenlong only to find out that he has no jurisdiction over the dead, only the living. Now Goten and Trunks spend the whole rest of the movie fighting Hitler's army. Now Gokou fights Janemba and goes SSJ3 and kicks the living crap out of the big fluffy Janenba toy. Janemba now transforms into a more powerful form, when he looks like the Devil and beats up SSJ3 Gokou. Gokou escapes deeper into Hell and gets rescued by Vegeta. Vegeta goes SSJ2 and also gets beaten severly by Janenba. Gokou tells Vegeta that they have to fuse in order to beat Janenba, but the Prince of the Saiya-jin race would rather take his own life that share the blood of the lowly Saiya-jin Kakkarot. Vegeta finally is convinced to fuse and Gokou shows him the complicated dance called Fusion Waza(Dance). They do that dance and Vegeta forgets to extend his right pointer finger. This creates Gogeta, a fat, clumsy idiot who has no successful attacks at all but some farts. The fusion finally wears off after a half hour and the two saiya-jins are separate again. Pike-han fights Janenba for a while to buy Gokou and Vegeta some more time to fuse, he is killed almost immediately. This time Vegeta gets it right and Vegitto is made, He is incredibly strong and makes up an energy ball that explodes inside the chest of Janenba, leaving behind the original Psych Oni.
This must be the best of all of the Dragonball Z movies. It has alot of great special effects and has a great revealing storyline. This movie shows where Future Trunks got his sword, which is a great extension of the plot. A demon named Hildegarn was brought to life on a far away planet by evil magicians. The demon could only be controlled by a sword, which was used to cut Hildegarn in half and two Ocarina whistles that are used to call the beast so it can be cut in two with the sword. A teenager named Tapion and his younger brother Minosha were the only ones who sealed the beast away and saved their planet. Minosha called the beast with the whistles and Tapion cut it clear in half. Half of the demon was sealed insode of Tapion while the other half was put in Minosha. Tapion, the sword, Heldegarn, and the Ocarinas, were sealed in a magic music box and launched into space. A magician named Hoi brings the music box to the Z warriors and tricks them into opening it with Shenlong. This releases Tapion while the other half of the Demon, who was originally sealed in Minosha wreaks havoc on Satan City. This is because Minosha is dead. Eventually Tapion's half of the demon escapes as well and totally destroys the Z Warriors, even Gokou and Vegeta are trashed. Trunks is about to use the Sword of Tapion to kill Hildegarn but Gokou turns SSJ3 and tells Trunks to let HIM get the victory. Gokou uses the Dragon Fist to kill Hildegarn and save the Earth once again. Tapion gives his sword to Trunks. In the end, Buruma makes a time machine so that Tapion can go back in time to his planet and save his brother, Minosha. If you have the ability, definately buy this movie and ONLY in Japanese and ONLY subtitled, it's the only way to go.
This TV special is the story of Bardock, the father of Gokou. It shows how Bardock and his men revolted against Frieza when they found out about his plan to destroy the Saiya-jin planet. Frieza was afraid he would be killed if another Super Saiya-jin was to arise and confront him. A Super Saiya-jin would be the only being in the universe at the time that could rival Frieza's power. So, he figured no more Saiya-jins, no Super Saiya-jin. Okay now back to the story, Bardock is cursed with the ability to see the future by one of the people he is going to kill, Tooro. Just as Frieza was about to kill Bardock and destroy the planet, Bardock had a vision of the future and his son, Kakkarotto becoming a Super Saiya-jin and killing Freeza. Bardock dies happy knowing the Saiya-jin race will be avenged. The only Saiya-jins that weren't killed when the planet exploded were Gokou, Nappa, and Prince Vegeta. |
