- TAKE CHARGE OF THE OVERALL OPERATIONS OF THE QUALITY ASSURANCE LABORATORY.
- REPORT TO THE CHIEF CHEMIST REGARDING FORMULA PROBLEMS, FORMULAS FOR REFORMULATIONS, RAW MATERIAL REPLACEMENTS AND MAJOR PAINT PROBLEMS.
- COORDINATE WITH THE PRODUCTION MANAGER AS WELL AS WITH THE PRODUCTION SUPERVISORS REGARDING PRODUCTION PROBLEMS.
- LIASE WITH TECHNICAL SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND SALES REGARDING SAMPLE REQUESTS, PREPARATIONS AND COMPLAINT VERIFICATIONS.

- EXERCISE DIRECT SUPERVISION OVER DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES OF THE QUALITY CONTROL CHEMISTS AND ASSISTANTS.
- INDIRECT SUPERVISION OF THE PRODUCTION TINTERS.
C. OTHERS
- QUALITY CONTROL/CHECKING OF ONGOING PRODUCTION BATCHES, TESTS CARRIED OUT BASED ON ASTM, BS, DIN, FEDERAL, SASO, ISO 9001 AND OTHERS ACCORDING TO CUSTOMER’S REQUIREMENTS.
- CARRY OUT LABORATORY TRIALS ON PAINT PROBLEMS/INFORMING CHIEF CHEMIST OF THE RESULT FOR APPROVAL.
- GIVE RECOMMENDATIONS ON SOLUTION TO PAINT PROBLEMS AND FAILURES.
- QUALITY CONTROL AUDIT AND EVALUATION OF OLD AND RETURNED STOCKS PRIOR TO DELIVERY OR REPROCESSING.
- DO RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF PAINT FORMULATIONS.
- HANDLES QUALITY CONTROL OF RAW MATERIAL FROM TIME TO TIME WHENEVER R.M.QUALITY CONTROL IS ON LEAVE.
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
- MAINTAIN QAS LAB FILES AND REPORTS ON DAILY APPROVED BATCHES, CUSTOMER’S COMPLAINTS,QA AUDIT, BATCH CERTIFICATES, LABORATORY TEST REPORTS, ETC.
- ASSIST RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT LABORATORY WHEN THE CHIEF CHEMIST IS ON LEAVE.
SOME SPECIFIC RESULTS
- ESTABLISH CALIBRATION PROCEDURES FOR RELEVANT EQUIPMENT IN PAINT MANUFACTURE.
- HEADS AND SCHEDULES THE CALIBRATION OF LABORATORY AND FACTORY’S EQUIPMENTS AND APPARATUSES AS PER ISO 9001.
- RESPONSIBLE IN ESTABLISHING FILES, RECORDS IN THE CALIBRATION OF EQUIPMENTS AND APPARATUSES IN PAINT MANUFACTURE.
- RESPONSIBLE IN MONITORING FACTORY’S CLEANLINESS WITH RESPECT TO BACTERIAL AND FUNGAL INFECTION WITH THE USE OF CULTURE MEDIUMS AND SCHEDULES CLEANING OF TANKS IF NECESSARY.
- SET UP COMPUTERIZED DATA MANAGEMENT OF APPROVED PRODUCTION BATCHES.
- COORDINATE WITH PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT TO ACHIEVE IT’S MARK OF PRODUCING 2 MILLION LITERS OF PAINT PER MONTH WITH OUT SACRIFICING QUALITY.
- MAINTAINED CONSISTENCY OF PRODUCTS BEING PRODUCED.
- STREAMLINED COMPLAINT FROM CUSTOMER DUE TO DEFECTIVE BATCHES.
- RECEIVED NO COLOR REJECTION FROM CUSTOMER DUE TO EFFECTIVE COLOR CHECKING/VISUAL TECHNIQUE.
- ESTABLISHED SENSIBLE, EFFICIENT AND COST REDUCING MANUFACTURING PROCEDURES.
- COMMENDED BY THE GENERAL MANAGER IN HIS COMPANY ANNUAL REPORT FOR BEING CONSISTENT.
