Ø The Quality Assurance Manager reports to the Technical Director.
Ø Responsible for all aspects of the QC department which include:
§ Testing and adjusting of production batches in a timely fashion
§ Maintaining product standards (such as: wet samples, physical panels, & computer stored)
§ Maintaining batch retains
§ Creating certificates of analysis
§ Filing and maintaining raw material certificates of analysis
§ Calibrating and maintaining various QC & R&D equipment
§ May develop test procedures to control batches
§ Analyse trends and advise R&D of adjustments to Master formulations to reduce batch hits
§ Complaint Investigation
§ Recommends corrective action
§ Liase with the Lab with regards to corrective and preventive program
Ø Manages QC Technicians:
§ Determines work schedules
§ Is familiar with all test procedures and provides training as required
§ Assigns duties to QC Technicians
Ø Specific Job Knowledge and Skills Include:
§ Excellent visual colour ability
§ Use of colour computer/spectrophotometer
