T H E C A R S

S C A L E T U N E D   P I P E S

We are competing 1/10th scale gas cars. For its trustworthiness, sturdiness and prestige, most of the cars are Serpent Impact M2 made in The Netherlands.
Some are 2wd most 4wd.
Also raced are Kyosho's F-10 Formula 1 and HPI. Anytipe of tuned pipe is allowed. The most used are the Mega SX15, specifically designed for the Mega SX 15 engine, although some prefer the CVEC pipe, for the added bonus of setting the resonance preference.

E N G I N E S F U E L

All .12 ó .15 engines are allowed, the most used are Megas made in Italy by NovaRossi and distributed exclusively by Serpent, the majority are Stock (SX 15EV2), although there are several Mike Salven's Turbo (MS 15 Turbo), Picco Turbo (P15KS) and Novarossi Top (TT15).

The stock engines develop 0.8 HP at 32,000 RPM, with a red line of 40,000 RPM.   Turbo engines develop between 1.1 y 1.5 HP depending on make and model.

There are some who have modify their stock units to obtain additional performance. By far the most used fuel is the
Byron Race 20 % nitro.
Other makes have been used, like the Duratrex, but the Byron is the most effective for our environment.
Fuel type and nitro content are free choices for every pilot.

B O D I E S

The most used bodies are the Porsche 962 MS GTP, followed by the Dahms Spice GTP and Lola CanAm. In touring the most common are the Porsche GT1, the McLaren y Alfa Romeo 156

The preferred tires are Ellegi, distributed by Serpent. Among them the Multiring 40 shore fronts and 35 shore rears are the most popular.

The rules do not restrict use of any make or kind of tires, so on occasions you see tires so soft that last for only one race. Definitely the make of choice is Futaba, being their model 2PCKA the most popular, followed by the 3PJ and the 3PD, although there is one Airtronics M8 that grabs the attention.
The preferred servos are the Futaba 3003, 9303 y 9304.
