Central to Western. State Hwy 2. Scenic, low traffic density,
good road condition. NE Hwy 2 from Broken Bow to Alliance takes you through
an extremely spasely populated area comprised of large ranches (measured
in "sections" or square miles) scattered through the scenic Sand Hills
region of Central Nebraska. Highway 2 follows the Loup River as it leads
northwesterly towards Alliance. This is a very popular and scenic alternate
route to nearby South Dakota's Black Hills. With the very small towns located
every 60 miles or so, be sure to watch your fuel level!
