Western, HWY 12. Twisty, scenic, low density, good quality. The good section of HWY 12 starts in Lolo Montana, just south of Missoula, and goes all the way to Lewiston, Idaho. The road quality is good with out a whole lot of traffic, except on holidays. This road goes over Lolo Pass up to an elevation of about 7,000 feet and then drops down to about 2,000 feet on the Idaho side of the pass. The view is beautiful down the pass but the road is twisty enough to keep you on your guard. MAP
