Northwest, Benedict Arnold Trail. Twisty, low traffic density, good road condition. Route 16 will take you to the Canadian/Quebec border, there's gas stations at both ends. There's about 20 miles of _world class_ twisty road. The road hugs a chain of ponds and hills, in one place it literally wraps around a huge glacial erratic boulder. This is the historical route with markers along the way, that General Arnold used in an ill-fated and planned attack on the British held fort at Quebec. You won't be disappointed, you'll want to turn around and ride it several times, but take it easy the first time through in several places places it gets really challenging.
