Northern, Lolo Pass/US Highway 12. Both scenic and twisty, low traffic density, good road condition. This road runs from Lolo, Montana over Lolo Pass into Idaho. It is about 99 miles of pristine wilderness. It runs right along Lochsa River in Idaho, which is one of the last remaining wild rivers in the United States. You have the mountains on one side and the beautiful river on the other. It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful rides we have ever taken and we have been in 42 states. It parallels Lolo Indian Trail followed by Louis and Clark in 1805. There are no services along this road after Powell until you reach Kamiah, Idaho. So gas up because it's about a 100 mile ride. This is one road you'll be very glad you took the time to ride.
