Welcome to Reading - 4 - U

Thought for the month
"Our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become."

If you respond yes to any one of the following questions, you will find something of interest at this site!

  • Do you read by sight, braille or audio?
  • Are you an educator at home or in a school?
  • Are you the parent of a vision impaired child?
  • Are you visually impaired?

HOME EDUCATION

Where does education start? In the home! Many continue educating their children at home fulltime. Even if you do not, we have something for you. All children, and especially those with special needs, are continually educated by their parents. Are you the parent of a vision impaired child or a vision impaired parent? Visit our Homeschooling Vision Impaired Kids site. There is information for the homeschooled and the traditionally schooled.

BRAILLE

If you would like interesting information on braille, and wouldn't mind a little teaching and preaching on the subject, visit Braille Talk.

The Mysteries of Math

Someone suggested this be called the Miseries of Math! Math for a blind person doesn't have to be a misery if the teacher is willing to give up "sighted" methods. Set you and your student free to learn math.
