Welcome to the RANGE Association home page. We plan to continue to update and improve this site as time goes by. We would like to make it as informative as possible about RANGE activities.
The Jacksonville RANGE Association is a local Ham Radio Repeater Club with Repeaters on 146.760 mhz, 146.880 mhz, and 444.675 mhz. RANGE meets the First Tuesday of each month with some exceptions being August, our local Hamfest month and December for our annual Christmas party. Membership into RANGE is $20.00 per year, with discounts for students, seniors, and multible family members. Members receive phone patch capibility on all repeaters and our monthy newsletters the Squelch Tale from our Editor.
PRESIDENT
The Jacksonville RANGE Association Repeaters are located at the TV-4 tower on the southbank of Downtown Jacksonville. All are located at about 450 feet. The 146.760 repeater is the widest coverage with the options of remote receivers in the works. The "76" repeater is used for our local ARES Emergency Net on Wednesday night at 7:30 PM local. The 146.880 repeater is used as a back up of the "76" repeater in times of emergencies. The "88" machine is in the prossess of being able to be linked to our UHF 444.675 repeater in times of need. The "675" repeater is enjoyed by all on UHF. All repeaters have phone patch capibility with paid membership into the Association.
