At the funeral service Maddie was described as the "Angel of Jacksonville." About 1400 people attended the private service. The community continued to show the family their love and support by lining up on the 5 mile journey to Oaklawn Cemetery. Maddie, may you rest in peace.
Maddie was a precious little 8 year old girl whose life was cut too short by someone she knew and trusted. She was reported missing on November 3, 1998 from her front yard and her body was found a week later inside a neighbor's house. May she rest in peace.
This page was set up to offer a loving support to the friends and family of Maddie. I never met the little girl but my heart went out to the family when I first heard of her disappearance. Volunteers showed up on a daily basis to help in any way possible.
