6/1/99 Hey kids, well its that time again that we finally update the news
section. im sorry for the delay in updates. the band has been very busy
lately, o.k. heres the news.
- C.D. RELEASE - well, its out. well kinda. our cd has a store release date of
july 7th in all area christian book stores. our new cd like the dickens will
have national distrobution. you can click here to see what the cd layout looks like. you can find our new cd now. you
can purchase it from G - ROCK and go to their store, and theyre
selling it there. or you can purchase on at one of our shows. we will be on
tour all of june and july with (rod laver, jesse and the rockers, cope, 7th
vision, 7-10 split, honeylocust, god rocket, tasty snax and a few other
bands.) we will be having for sale at our shows and at cornerstone, and all 3
tomfests. or you can purchase our old cd at a live show or off of this site.
or also, you can order the new cd from screaming giant records,
Screaming Giant we will have some advertisements for the new
cd in stores soon. we have lugnut postcards with the cover and lots of info
on it, and we also have some 12x12s with the cover on them you can find at a
show or in a christian bookstore nationwide.
- RADIO/TV - ok. well i guess that you guys all know that were goin out to
texas june 11th to shoot a video for g rock. incase you dont know what g rock
is, g rock is a christian emo, punk, hardcore, and ska video station on the
christian channel 13 here in jax. fl, saturday nights at 12:30 a.m. if youre
not in jax. fl.check out screaming giant and check out the
grock webpage to see the times and channel listings for your town. im not
positive, but i think that when we go out to dallas texas for tomfest, june
9th screaming giant records stage 12:45 - 1:15, thats when were going to
shoot the video, after tomfest, since we dont get a chance to head out to
texas all that much. were doing a video for on a mission. i believe that we
have an idea what the video is going to be like, from what i hear, it should
be pretty cool. screaming GIANT records is looking for people to help be IN
the video, go to the webpage @ screaming giant and email g
rock @ grocktv@home.com but dont email them unless you LIVE in texas, and
feel like going crazy. part of the video is of us playing live for a bunch of
people in some abandoned garage, so we need people to help make a fool out of
themselves, so.... we hostied g rock april 20th at the G.M.A. festival in
nashville, tennessee. the taping will be aired sometime in the following
weeks, in the early stages of june. whenever we find out when itll be on,
well tell you, until then you can watch skateboard, wakeboard, rollerblading,
and snowboarding videos while they play music in the back ground to it, or
see videos by mxpx, value pac, all the screaming giant bands, ghoti hook,
squad 5-0, five iron frenzy, etc. you name it they have it. also go to the
screaming giant webpage and look at the radio station listings and email them
and tell them to have screaming giant records send them some of our stuff to
play it in your hometown.
- TOUR INFO - may 7th through may 22th, we were on the "no excuses" tour w/
label mates jesse and the rockers. this tour was a 2 and a half week east
coast tour that took place in from florida on up to indiana and back. it was
a fun tour with jesse and the rockers, other than the times, when we drove
500 miles to find out that the promoter cancelled the show without even
telling us, other than that it was lots of fun. we leave again thurs. june
3rd till the beginning of august. over 2 months. we will be touring with rod
laver, jesse and the rockers, cope, 7-10 split, 7th vision, honeylocust,
tasty snax, godrocket, and devoted molded, and possibly zippy josh. so, it
should be a fun tour. please pray that we dont kill each other, and please
pray for us and our families that they dont move into a differant city
without telling us, while were gone. in august lugnut will be taking the
month off to surf, ha.. but chris will be gone playing drums with rod laver,
a rap core band also on screaming giant records. they will be touring with
brainwash projects and doing some shows with dirt, project 86, and
luti-kriss, so. check it out in august. as of right now, were still looking
for a band to tour with in september. please pray that we find someone soon
to tour with. then, lugnut will be taking the month of october off and just
playing local shows for that month, to be with their familes, before they
leave for a nov / dec tour with possibly squade 5-0. just please pray that we
do good, and our van doesnt break down and all that crap.
