Looking for an experienced flight instructor? The Flying Grasshoppers' flight instructor, Bob Zanella, has been training pilots since 1972. As a CFII (Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument) Bob is licensed by the FAA to provide primary (student/private pilot), commercial, and instrument flight and ground instruction in single engine, land airplanes. So, whether you're looking for flight training for a certificate or rating, need a BFR, an IFR proficiency check, or a high-performance check-out, or if you're interested in participating in the FAA's "Wings" program or EAA's Young Eagles program, give Bob a call or drop him a line. Training can be done in your own aircraft or in Bob's Cessna 152 or 172 which are available for dual instruction. For information about the availability of other aircraft, contact Bob.
About The Flying GrasshoppersThe Flying Grasshoppers, Inc. was founded in 1974 by a group of Walt Disney World employees who love to fly. As a private, company-sponsored flying club, its purpose was to offer a safe, fun, inexpensive means for WDW employees and their families to enjoy recreational flying and obtain flight instruction. Although long ago the Grasshoppers' affiliation with WDW was dissolved and the club opened its doors to a wider membership, the mission was always the same:
Incorporated in the State of Florida as a non-profit club, the members of The Flying Grasshoppers, Inc. have always believed that earning a pilot's certificate and enjoying its benefits should be within the reach of anyone with the ambition and desire to learn.
However, that's not quite the end of the story...Where there's a will, there's a way. The Grasshoppers' founder and flight instructor, Bob Zanella, just doesn't give up that easily. He's a tough old bird and nothing's going to keep him from doing what he loves to do: training pilots and enjoying the freedom of the skies. These days Bob can be found at the Kissimmee Municipal Airport, training students and conducting pilot check-outs for Kissimmee Aviation. So, whether you're a resident of Central Florida or are vacationing with us here in the world's playground, if your dream is to spread your wings and soar into the sunny Florida skies, feel free to give Bob a call or drop him a line.
