In the Meantime
I take a familiar path
leading into my heart
looking outward
feeling the connectedness of us all
feeling the flow of the universe
as it passes through me

Feeling how good it feels
to have this connection we are creating
opening up the window of possibilities
remembering my deepest desires

I am grateful for what is happening in my life
my attitude
the softness in my view of the world
I am happy, healthy, warm, well fed, dry

Just with the possibility of you
I allow the dream to emerge
lightening my step
a lingering smile

I have experienced the joy of being alone
developing my unique view
learning how to make a living that fits my specifications
finding a place that I call home
Where I feel free

At first I didn't quite know how to get to the quiet place inside
where I could appreciate all that I am
so I walked a spiritual path
slowly dismantling the walls I had built around my heart

there is a wholeness
