to my homepage. My name is Jackson, and I am an Educational Interpreter in the Florida School System. Thank you for taking some time to look around. The information I have here comes from several interpreters that I know, as well as from some of my own experiences.

I know that many parents of Deaf students are not aware of their rights. I have Deaf friends who went through the Florida School System. They have told me that the schools will sometimes "bend" the rules to benefit the schools, rather than the Deaf student. This is the schools, not the Interpreters.

If the parents are not aware of what really happens, how can they make it better. If they don't know their rights, they don't have them. I hope that this does not happen a lot, but I also hope where it is happening, that my page can help someone find the information that they need.

On my links page you will find many great links to Deaf related sites, Interpreter homepages, IEP information, ect. The Resource Page, Deaf Profile Page, and Teacher Links will be completed soon. The Deaf Web Ring is another good resource; I have found many good webpages there. If you have any question about my site, or question concerning deafness or interpreting. Please feel free to send me an
e-mail
, and I will do what I can to answer your questions.
