Research & Data Collection

ALL WRITTEN MATERIAL ON THIS WEBSITE ARE COPYRIGHTED
AND MAY NOT BE REPRODUCED WITHOUT THE AUTHOR'S PERMISSION

In the future, I will be preparing writings for written speeches
and a book on how women have suffered and are still suffering after
removal of their ovaries, not finding safe, low side effect,
effective hrt, not being taken seriously by doctors when presenting
with hormone loss related health problems after hysterectomy, the
lack of understanding and options for women who are going through
what the medical community terms *surgical menopause*.

Women need to know *how it really is* and doctors do not
tell us the impact ovarian removal and loss of hormone production
can have with our health and in our lives.

I'm not just trying to gather *negative* information, but
more importantly trying to convey the very real challenges and health
problems so many women face post hysterectomy. Someone has to
speak up for us and shed some light on these issues.

I wish I would have had access to women who had TAH/BSO, to talk to,
before my surgery, I would have still had the surgery, due to
endometriosis, but at least it would have prepared me for the HUGE
impact it was going to have on my health and life, and allowed me to
be aware and proactive in the important areas of hormone loss and
replacement, monitoring bone density, blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.

If you would like to contribute your thoughts on how hysterectomy
has effected your life, what challenges you have faced with recovering
your health, hrt/nhrt, whatever has been the most challenging for you,
here are the info and guidelines.

**In no way will there be any proceeds from any such writings as I do
not know how I will use them as of yet. If this is a concern for you
then you should not make a written contribution.

**Privacy of the writer will be totally and completely protected!
I will NEVER use your name or email address in ANY way!! I have been
communicating with women over the internet for five years now
and will always respect anyone's privacy completely.

I will not use your name or email address in any way. I would
refer to your passage as:

"From a 38 (as an example-or what your age is) year woman old post
hysterectomy, or post TAH/BSO, or with endometriosis, etc,
whichever was applicable.

**Unless you would like me to use your first name You would need to
indicate whether you wish to remain anonymous or use your first name.

**There really are no other guidelines in writing how hysterectomy,
ovarian removal, hrt/nhrt, have effected you, your life, your family,
your work and most importantly your health. One to three paragraphs
is fine. Please do indicate in what you send me that this is your
written contribution and I have your permission to use it in a future
writing project or Awareness Speech.

I have also put together hysterectomy and endometriosis questionnaire's
if you would prefer to contribute in that format, the questionnaire's are here:

Hysterectomy & Endometriosis Questionnaire

I have a *group list* of contributors that I will keep apprised
of what, when, how, etc., etc. No weekly emails or anything, just
an update or two when I make progress. So! If you'd like to
contribute, I'd be honored to have your thoughts to add to the
voices that represent "us". Just email me at the address listed below.

ADDITIONAL RESEARCH/DATA COLLECTION

Data collection you can help with

I am also beginning data collection on the following subjects, if
you would like you can cut and paste the few questions into
an email and send them, or just respond in kind in an email. I've
searched high and dry and as far as I can see, no one is collecting
data to represent us, I aim to do that on the following:

(FYI :o) I don't have any form responses because this is very
important data to me and I won't take a chance on it getting lost
on someone else's server.

**HRT/NHRT USAGE-

What different kinds of hrt/nrht have you tried?

What problems have you had with hrt/nhrt?

Has there been any hrt/nhrt you've tried that has worked for
you that you have been using for a MINIMUM of 3 months? If so what?

Are you aware of Bio Identical Hormones obtained from a compounding
pharmacy? If not, and you are interested, please check the following:

Bio-Identical Hormones-James Biddle MD

**OOPHORECTOMY(removal of the ovaries)

Are you at least six months post op and feeling good?

Have you had any other health problems since the removal of your
ovaries that you did not have before your ovaries were removed?

If so what? and how long has it been since your ovaries were removed?

Did your doctor tell you about the potential health changes that
could occur with ovarian removal? (severe hormone loss symptoms,
other endocrine related illnesses, etc.?)

**ENDOMETRIOSIS-

If you had a hysterectomy for Endo, were your ovaries removed?

Did you take any form of estrogen after surgery?

Did anyone inform you that ERT (estrogen replacement therapy) can
reactivate endo?

Research & Data Responses

That's it for now! A beginning. When I have some substantial
results in, I will begin posting them so check back.

Thank you for going

and for helping to make a difference!

Any 'S, ask

Perhaps... together we can make a difference!
