On This Day...

On this day, July 17th, 1997, one of the most difficult decisions
I have been faced with, came to pass. All my reproductive organs were removed around 1:00 p.m.

On this day, I will quietly contemplate the long, winding road, from the pain and
devastation of endometriosis to the challenging
journey through organ removal and hormone loss.

On this day, I will try to concentrate not on the health I have lost, but on the
disease I am rid of, and the progress and improvements that have
evolved from severe hormone loss and health changes to, albeit, slow but ever improving
health through learning, communication, trial and error
and bioidentical hormone supplementation.

On this day, I will light a candle and say a prayer in my heart, for resolution to all
women suffering from reproductive disease and the often devastating effects of
hysterectomy, ovarian removal and hormone loss, to health, self and family.

On this day, I am thankful for spirits, hearts and voices that have shared of their
knowledge, time, resources and compassion, finding effective and safe hormone replacement,
and medical professionals that truly understand and care.

On this day, more than any other, the voices of women, who are suffering with
post hysterectomy, ovarian removal and hormone loss health problems echo in my heart
and I vow with care and commitment to continue working at raising awareness and
being a part of the solution.

If you have received this, it is because I am thankful for the place you are in
your life, that you have helped me in a healthy recovery, and that you are there
to help others that have gone where I have been, from Doctors who are willing
to step out of the *box*, Compounding Pharmacists, Those of support who lend their
time and compassion, and family and friends.

To my HRT-NHRT group, you are an awesome group of strong women!
thanks for letting me be a part of your day.

My family...thank you for your understanding
and support of me and my work.

On this day, I am thankful you have touched my life.

Blessings & Good Health!
