My Grandma (12/18/19 - 2/20/00)

My Grandma was, quite simply, the greatest lil'old lady to have ever lived. Her passing was personally devastating to me, but the living must go on living, right? Matter of fact, I have a Cure t-shirt which has some lyrics on the back that Grandma used to like. It reads:

"Remember I was always true
Remember that I always tried
Remember I loved only you
Remember me and smile
For its better to forget
Than to remember me and cry."

And so, in this overly modernized world, I am creating a little slice of the web on which she will be remembered.

That place is here! :)

This picture is Granny with her beloved pug. She loved that little pug so much that she had me take this picture of the two of them sharing something very special...Grandma's bra. :)

And in this one: she is shown wearing one of my Marilyn Manson t-shirts, my green Doc Martens, and a whole bunch of makeup. Now, have you ever tried putting makeup on a wrinkly ol' lady? Its not the easiest thing to do. But consider this...

Would your Grandma ever let you paint her up like this?? :)

I'm not trying to get all mushy here or anything, but if I could offer, at this point, some words of advice to anyone seeing this, I would say this: Treasure your Grandma. Sit with her, talk with her. She can teach you so, so much, if you just take the time. You'll be very glad you did.
