i also made a note that you could double the F# (second fret - sixth
string) on the D chord to kinda maintain the descending low note
and preserve continuity. it's a little hard to make this transition
quickly, and the normal D will sound just fine anyway. and the last
sustained chord of the verse is the F. 
if anyone finds a mistake in this, let me know. :)
