The Chokehold
was Jacksonville's original pro wrestling radio show.
For three years, The Chokehold
entertained and informed the wrestling fans of
Jacksonville.
The Chokehold Radio
Show brought to its fans many national and local wrestling names, and
was especially honored to interview Don Curtis, Lou Thesz, and to invite
Gordon Solie on the air as he granted us his final spoken interview.
No other radio show--wrestling or otherwise--involved its
listeners more intimately. Yes, you could call
our show and speak in complete sentences, ask two or three questions,
even call back if you wanted.
The Chokehold left the air in 2000 after an over three year
run, ending a chapter in local wrestling history.
Contact the hosts!
Yes, they still talk wrestling, just not on the radio.
