Why, pray tell, should you express your deepest darkest secrets to a complete stranger (other than the money I can get by using the information for blackmail)? Honestly, I have always been good at offering advice, since I've been through almost everything. In fact I was even once approached by the Oprah Winfrey show regarding one of my visitors that had contacted them about the advice I had given them and how it helped them through a difficult time and gave them a new outlook.
I'm not a therapist (nor do I play one on TV), nor do I have any professional qualifications, but I have been a sympathetic ear for the past 29 years (well not completely 29 years, since as an infant I couldn't speak, just drool my insights and fingerpaint in my own poo), and have had a great deal of success in offering practical advice...with a touch of humor of course!
I invite you try me out, as I often describe myself to my visitors as the friend that you would come to talk to if you had a problem or question. Feel free to explore my site, read my articles and advice to get a feel for what I have to offer; you can even read some of the questions I have received and my responses to them in my Q & A: Questions and Answers section. Additionally, you will see that I offer my life as an open book to my visitors; I do this because, if I expect you to share with me, I should reciprocate the same in return. I share my success, my failures, my friends and life with you. You will see as you read my pages that you will laugh and agree with much of what I have to say, perhaps it will help you see something you never thought of, resulting in a more objective attitude in times of trouble or a new perspective. Perhaps I will discuss something that you have experienced and you would like someone else's opinion.
I promise to seriously consider (laugh at) all of your problems or concerns and give you an educated (guess) answer to as many of them as I can. Of all the questions I have answered, as well as all the advice I have given (and gotten carpal tunnel from typing all of those replies...thank-you very much!) I have always taken every problem seriously, adding humor whenever possible to remind people not to take things too seriously. I will admit some topics do not call for humor and I have the discretion to not make light of these very personal issues, I assure you. Also, I will never use your name, question or feedback without your consent.
Welcome to my page, and as you may have guessed my name is Dana (if you didn't guess that, really, we need to pay more attention to the name of the sites we visit, don't you think?). If you would like to learn a little more about me personally, please visit my BIO Page. I hail from the great (humid) state of Florida and attended Florida State University, however I am currently an executive working in the Orlando area and find myself traveling quite often and meeting many diverse types of people (no doubt beneficial in gaining different perspectives for my website). Other than that, I am your average, normal guy who wears women's shoes and likes to dress like the Teletubbies (that's normal....isn't it??...hello?!...*cricket, cricket*). Anything about myself, other than that (revealing bit of information) you can always feel free to ask me!
It should also be noted that this entire website was created based upon my facination with human behavior, my love of writing and observation, as an outlet to discuss my (numerous) opinions, life's experience's and to entertain people. I have a genuine interest in helping every visitor that takes the time to write me for help; however from time to time I receive the occasional absurd e-mail containing a "fake" problem, of which I choose to ignore for wasting my time and the time I could be spending helping people who really need advice. Additionally, every single article and page on my website that you read was written without any pre-planning or extensive editing. I literally come up with an idea and start typing my views on the subject as I write, whatever inspires me that day. I find that it comes across truer and more genuine, to the point of visitors feeling as though they can literally 'hear' me speaking and having a discussion with them...as opposed to a more formal (and frankly, less entertaining) approach.
