We were just 2 Bored Heads looking for something to do.
So we started a website called BoardHeads2. We first went online back in 1997, doing live photo updates of the surf at 2nd Light, The Streets, and The Cocoa Beach Pier every morning at dawn for 3 straight years. We had the area's 1st surf message board, and a great local Trivia section that still carries on today, even though we gave up driving every morning to do daily updates almost 10 years ago. Our "old-school" technology was being replaced by more modern inventions, like live streaming cameras set at most of the popular surf breaks. So instead we put up the most extensive link page to Florida's surf cams all over the state for readers to use, and it continues to be the most popular page on our site. We used to cover all the local board competitions and events around the county, videotaping and photographing them, and putting up pictures of them on the website for everyone else to enjoy. Now over the years, there are so many events, competitions and cameras out there, it's not necessary for us to be everywhere, and life has been much simpler. People use online message boards instead of websites to reach their peers with photos, contest info, and instant updates on surf conditions. Over the next decade, we continued to cover a number of board sport competitions and events, pitching in to help and/or sponsor some of them. We've done Indoboard demonstrations live on the beach at many contests, and ran a bunch of Skimboard contests and demos around the state as well. Being well established in the roots of skimboarding on the internet in Florida, we started FloridaSkimboarding.com, strictly for skimboarders to find out about contests, local area breaks, and to put up pics of skim contests and gatherings. Both this site and BoardHeads2.com continue to be popular ongoing pictorials and board sport info sites for locals and world wide viewing. On our own time, you'll find us at the beach surfing, skimming and taking pics. Or somewhere in nature taking photos of Florida's vast wildlife. We rarely sit still and we're really never bored anymore. Fast forward to today, 13 years since we made an impact online, and here we are, with our own little business in downtown Cocoa Beach, selling big delicious subs. We modernized the little place with a beachy feel, putting up lots of photos of the locals in the shop. Stop in and say hi sometime!
Because 2 Heads are better than 1 !
