Our Breeding Program

The goal of our breeding program is to produce sound dogs with excellent working ability, proper conformation and structure, and excellent temperaments. We believe in quality, not quantity. Puppies from our litters are in working homes across the United States guarding goats, sheep, alpacas and other livestock, not to mention their human family.

All of our dogs are working dogs and our puppies are raised with livestock from an early age. Our puppies are born and raised in a stall surrounded by livestock so that they learn the sounds and smells of livestock from the beginning. By the time our puppies are 4-6 weeks old, they are placed with our most docile goats and or sheep full time. We also socialize our puppies with children and adults. We believe that there is no reason that a dog cannot be both a working dog and also be bonded with their humans, and we encourage socialization and training that will make living with a large breed dog manageable and a pleasure.

All puppies are fully guaranteed for health, temperament and working ability.
All of our breeding stock is OFA excellent or good hips, OFA normal thyroid. Excellent references available.

DUE TO THE STRONG WORKING INSTINCT OF ANATOLIANS, WE PREFER TO PLACE PUPPIES IN WORKING HOMES, AS GENERAL FARM OR FAMILY GUARDIANS, OR WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH LARGE WORKING BREEDS. ANATOLIANS NEED ABUNDANT SPACE AND FREEDOM TO EXERCISE AND PERFORM THE JOB THEY WERE INTENDED TO DO. WHILE THEY ALSO EXCEL AS WONDERFUL GUARDIANS AND COMPANIONS TO FAMILIES AND CHILDREN, THEY ARE NOT MEANT FOR ALL ENVIRONMENTS. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR URBAN AREAS WITH SMALL YARDS, APARTMENTS OR CONDOS.
