Genealogy Vol 2 p. 366 under Norton lists a Rebecca, daughter of Samuel, Samuel
(immigrant ancestor). I guess this is Samuel, and has a son Samuel who had
Rebecca who m. 1687 William Browning b.1650.

NOTE - He was a woolen draper, quite possibly in the class with the well-known
Paycock family of woolen merchants, whose house in Coggeshall is still in
existence.

NOTE - He was originally of Colchester, where he lived in Le stone house"

opposite the old town hall, but in 1548 he was in Braintre when he sold this

house to John and Alice (Smith) Wilbore of Colchester. He was very well to do
with real estate in Braintree, Stisted and Bocking. He evidently hired much
help in the woolen business and raised sheep on Skitts Hill in Braintree): Carl
