William was born circa 1200 at Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. He was the son of Edmund Holebrok. William was an attorney for Earl Warenn in proceedings against Robert de Aungervill concerning tenements in Sproughton. He is found in the hundred Rolls of Lincolnshire.
