In his will he provides for four sons and five daughters: John, Thomas, Jeremiah and Abraham, Elizabeth Mary, Esther and Ruth besides Hannah who had married John CRAMPTON, after [the will] of Norwalk, Conn.
He was an early member of First Church, Hartford as his two oldest sons were baptised there.
Francis purchased, before 1640, the north part of Richard BUTLER's lot, on the corner of the present Elm and Trinity Street, Hartford.
Francis married Anna Smith, daughter of Professor Giles Smith and Mary Wheeler, in 1650. (Anna Smith was born about 1633 in Fairfield, Fairfield, Connecticut and died on 5 Mar 1662 in Fairfield, Fairfield, Connecticut.)
