Around the corner I have a friend in this great city that has no end, Yet the days go by and weeks rush on, and before I know it, a year is gone. And I never see my old friend's face, for life is a swift and terrible race. He knows I like him just as well, as in the days when I rang his bell. And he rang mine. If, we were younger then, and now we are busy, tired men. Tired of playing a foolish game, tired of trying to make a name. "Tomorrow" I say "I will call on Jim" "Just to show that I'm thinking of him." But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes, and distance between us grows and grows. Around the corner - yet miles away, "Here's a telegram sir-" "Jim died today." And that's what we get and deserve in the end. Around the corner, a vanished friend. If you love someone, tell them. Remember always to say what you mean. Never be afraid to express yourself. Take this opportunity to tell someone what they mean to you. Seize the day and have no regrets. Most importantly, stay close to your friends and family, for they have helped make you the person that you are today and are what it's all about anyway.

To me, beauty lies within ones soul, ones heart. I have found this beauty. And it is she, that unlocks all that makes up my heart, mind, and soul.



If I had my life to live over again, I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later. I'd finger paint more, and point the finger less. I would do less correcting, and more connecting. I'd take my eyes off my watch, And watch more with my eyes. I would care to know less and know to care more. I'd take more hikes and fly more kites. I'd stop playing serious and seriously play. I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars. I'd do more hugging and less tugging. I'd see the oak tree in the acorn more often. I would be firm less often and affirm much more. I'd model less about the love of power and more about the power of love.

She grabs her magazines, she packs her things and she goes. She leaves the pictures hanging on the wall, she burns all her notes and she knows, she's been here too few years to feel this old. He smokes his cigarette, he stays outside 'till it's gone. If anybody ever had a heart, he wouldn't be alone. He knows, she's been here too few years, to be gone and we always say, it would be good to go away, someday.
But if there's nothing there to make things change, if it's the same for you i'll just hang. The trouble understand, is she got reasons he don't. Funny how he couldn't see at all, 'til she grabbed up her coat. And she goes, she's been here too few years to take it all in stride. But still it's much too long, to let hurt go (you let her go) And we always say, it would be good to go away, someday. But if there's nothing there to make things change, if it's the same for you I'll just hang.
