Here's Stacey. I know, I know. I hated her back then too.
- I kinda like their sound. They do blend, but their songs take the word "gay" to a whole new level.
- They are VERY into showcasing their bodies. I think that is a major sign of lack-o-talent.
- Judging by the pictures, I'll give you guys one guess why NSYNC choose them to be their opening act...but just one.
- Seeing as I dug "KIDS Incorporated" as much as I did, they are scoring a little higher on my mental clipboard.
- Their sound can be a bit too throaty. Constant grrrr'ing. It kind of makes me ill after awhile. They need more harmonies.
- Honestly, girls, have you heard of skin cancer? Look it up. And lay off the shake-and-bake beds.
Megan's thoughts on Wild Orchid:
I must admit that I have mixed feelings about Wild Orchid. They go on this page because they have been romantically linked with 'N SYNC. So they get shafted for that reason. However, I do think that they are good singers. (Gasp!) I can't even think of some clever, insulting play on their name, so they escape that form of ridicule for now. I call them soul sisters because their voices are very throaty and soulful. That's all. I first found out about these girls from the Billboard Awards pre-show that was on VH1 last year. I had never heard of them before but they came up to the mike and were being interviewed. They sang a little a cappella and yes, I was impressed. They are a girl group that can actually sing. Little by little I started hearing rumors that JC was dating one of them. He has apparently been seen around town with a certain busty blond (Stacey maybe?). I actually liked Stacey back in the day when she was on Kids Incorporated. I wanted to be like her. I can't for the life of me figure out why. She seems to have implants, but I can't prove that so I won't try. She's got the whole rubber lips thing happening too, which we all know is a big plus for JC. So I gotta dislike her for that. I do have to wonder what she looks like under all of that makeup though. On VH1's before they were stars, which conveniently was on the same episode as 'N SYNC's, they showed something that made me hate Stacey even more. When she was like 8, she did an inspirational video with Mr. T. Now, I was a big A-Team fan back in the day, and it makes me sooooo jealous that she got to hang out with my former idol. I literally used to take all of my Dad's gold chains and drape them around my neck to be like Mr. T. Pathetic I know. And yes, I'm very secure in my heterosexuality. Next we move on to Stephanie, the redhead. She has had her eye on Joey for quite some time. I'm sure they must have hooked up, because we all know that Joey hooks up as often as possible. They showed her drunk of her ass at the Billboard after party flirting with Joey. The E! people even said, "Was she just flirting with him?' Busted, chica! She's also three years older than him, so it could be a love match. Finally, there's Renee. Also linked with JC, although I find the Stacey rumor a lot more believable. I actually like Renee the best out of all of them. She's the least fake looking and has the least fake personality. I actually wouldn't mind (oh no!) if she went out with JC. Yes I just said that. I must be on crack/caffeine like JC. Well, I could actually give these girls a chance at some point. They just need better songs. The talent is there, and you can't just hate people for dating the boys. So for now they get a tentative stamp of approval.
