"It's just flat-out beautiful; it's got an overall great vibe. Sting is very poetic. He always finds a way to tell a story within his song instead of just babbling."
Babbling, much like you are? Anyway, I agree that Sting is a brillant song writer, but I hate his voice. In this song instead of singing "fragel" he says "fragiile." It is incrediably annoying.
Seal- "Violet"
"It's the last track on his first record. It's just, like, the perfect song to chill to during, like, a late-night drive or whatever. It's an all-occasion song."
Dammit JC. Could you make yourself seem, like, less intelligent, and, like, sound more like a 12-year-old girl or whatever? I have no comment on the song because I have never heard it. I generally am not a big Seal fan.
Stevie Wonder- "Superstition"
"I like a lot of his stuff - "Superstition," "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours," "Ribbon In The Sky." When I first heard one of his songs, I was way young and I was like, "Who's that?" And my dad was like, "That's Stevie Wonder, boy. You don't know nothing about that."
Oh Christ. If my English teacher caught JC talking, he would get a swift beating...not that I'm a lot better. I dig Stevie Wonder a whole lot, but he has much better songs than "Superstition," and I am not understanding why JC would pick that as his favorite. Oh, well, to JC, his own.
Lenny Kravitz- "Always On The Run"
"My family was not that into music, so I'd listen to whatever my friends would listen to - anything from Bell Biv Devoe to Lenny Kravitz. Lenny's actually one of my favorite artist's of all time. I just like "Always On The Run." It's just pure, hard, in-your-face funk rock-n-roll, you know? Guitars, a fat bass - it's just a real raw-sounding song, and I like that."
Man, you'd think he was describing something else, as passionate as he becomes during this. I am not a big Lenny Kravitz fan either, never have been. I like how he gave a shout-out to BBD, it brought back some memories. Damn, when I was in junior high, "Poison" and "Do Me" were like my favorite songs. Why's JC got to be such a spazztic doofus..."a fat bass?" I guess the reporter was way un-hip. I believe he meant "phat," sir. That's why I always clarify when I am talking, "that's phat, with a "p"."
Brian McKnight- "Never Felt This Way"
"It's just him and a piano, and vocally he just rips it. It's just beautiful, a really pure way to say, "I've never been in love this way before." He really finds a nice way to say it."
I worship Brian McKnight, so this selection makes me happy. He's not kidding about this song, it is so beautiful; the words, the melody, his voice. It's one of those songs that you can tell exactly what he was feeling when he sang it. Ahh, I love it. P.S. Brian McKnight is sucha hottie. Grrr.
