Admit it. Look in the mirror and say to yourself (preferablly when no one is around) "I am obssesed with JC, and I want it to stop."
Step 2
Feel shame, but admit it to others. " My name is Wendi and I am a JC-Aholic." You will feel so much better once you do.
Step 3
Get a sponser. This is a person that you can communicate with, that is a recovering JC-Aholic, and can give you some guidance.
Step 4
Meet with your sponser and form a plan. Also schedule "check in" times, when you can relay any questions, or concerns you may have.
Step 5
Keep a journal. Record your thoughts and feelings through the withdrawl stages, they will help you later in treatment.
Step 6
This is by far the hardest step. You need to burn, throw away, or dismantle ALL JC-related items. I am talikng about T-Shirts, posters, magazines, CD's, and video tapes. It is very important.
Step 7
Break any JC-related rituals you may have. Like if you watch TRL everyday to see what number NSYNC is, schedule a pottery class that will take place when TRL is on.
Step 8
Disassociate yourself from anyone who is JC-related. If your best friend loves NSYNC and she does not want to get help, she is no friend at all and she needs to be kicked to the curb.
Step 9
Keep with it. Don't allow a trip to Walmart's magazine section cause you to relapse. Once again, avoid all contact with anything that holds a connection to JC.
Step 10
Think positivly. You are now becoming JC-free, you can lead a normal life again. Just think of how happy you will be once you rid your system of all harmful JC toxins.
