This picture illustrates the excellent collaboration between the Southern Baptist fullfilling their mission of service. It so happens to be hand-in-hand with The Salvation Army at Ground Zero.

THANK YOU BAPTIST MEN AND WOMEN!!!

Upon arriving at Ground Zero we had to set up in the middle of West Side Highway. This picture was taken about one week after the attacks. Exposed to the elements caused many challenges when the whether was windy, wet, or cold. Sometimes all of the above!!!

Found in the rubble of the towers this perfectly shaped cross was found as it is and served as a symbol to all that worked that God was in this place and the land they stood was Holy Ground.

No one was left out of the day-to-day work in New York. Like one team everyone worked together doing whatever possible to get the job done.

Once a decision was made by the city Emergency Management that this effort would continue well through the winter season, the Environmental Protection Agency was tasked with establishing a hardened facility right at Ground Zero as a secure building to serve as a place to get out of the elements. The Salvation Army was at that point requested to provide all feeding at Ground Zero. This picture shows approximately 1/3 of this massive structure affectionately known as Taj Mahal.

Right here was the most awsome site. These fanatics and I say that affectionately, were there 24 hrs a day cheering us on everyday we followed our approach back into Ground Zero along West Side Highway.

Ever wonder why disaster organizations say, "Please send money, not goods. This site shows why. Imagine for a second these slides being piles of cash instead. Oh how much more efficient we can be.

This warehouse was packed with well intentioned items that could not be used at Ground Zero. Next time someone asks you what you think they should send, please run this picture through you mind.

This was my experience with Ms. Terri Ventura, First lady of Minnesota. I must say, it was truly my pleasure to work with someone so selfless. She was emphatic about no cameras. This was not about her, it was about the victims of Sept. 11. This specific picture was at the Toyshop for the kids affected by September 11.

Please know that this letter was one of many at Ground Zero and I mean no disrespect by sharing it online. However, as those sites have been established to remember the victims I felt is necessary to see some of the heart felt letters that are being left at the memorials around Ground Zero. If you have a second, please, pray for this family.

These two pictures are both of the Medical Examiners office where we serve 24 hrs a day as well. This site is used to research dental records and other processes to identify the victims that are brought out of the rubble
