Hilda C. Heins, age 84 of 4304 Grover Avenue, Hammond, Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 1, at St. Catherine Hospital. Survivors; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Langle Kollen of Hammond; eight grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; one brother Emil Hanson of Avon Park, FL.; one nephew. Funeral services will be held Tue. March 4, 1 p.m. from the Christ United Methodist Church, 6511 Jefferson Ave., Hammond, Rev. J.O. Penrod and Rev. William Myers II officiating. LOUIS H. HEINS

Louise H. Heins Louise H. Heins, 66 retired Sinclair Refining Co., employee and former Hammond resident, died Saturday at Dewart Lake near Syracuse, IN. Heins was pronounced dead on arrival at McDonald Memorial Hospital, Warsaw, Ind. He was stricken by a heart attack while returning with his wife, Hilda from a visit with his brother, brother-in-law, Emil Hansen also of Dewart Lake. The couple took up permanent residence at Dewart Lake, formerly their summer home, shortly after Heins retirement in 1953. At the time of his retirement he was superintendent of Sinclair pipe department. He had served the company 35 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the North Hammond Evangelical Church and the brotherhood of that church. Surviving besides his wife, are two daughters. Mrs. Ruth Langel of Black Oak and Mrs. June Hutchinson of Gary: two brothers, Charlie and John, both of Hammond eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at North Hammond Evangelical United Brethern Church, Rev. Everette R. Shane officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. LAMBERT ROLLAND KNEIFEL, Sr.

Lambert R. Kneifel sr., 80, of Wanatah, died today, Wednesday, Jan. 16,1991, at 4:58 a.m. at his home. He was born Aug. 25, 1910, in Kouts, to William J. and Amelia (Wandrey) Kneifel, and lived here 15 years, coming from Valparaiso. Mr. Kneifel had been a farmer in La Porte and Porter counties, and had retired from Sunset Hill Farm. On Oct. 15, 1931, he married Alma Pearl Pullins, who died in 1974. Surviving are three daughters, Betty McGinley, of Valparaiso; Linda Martin, of Wanatah; and Judie Howell, of Grabill, Ind.; three sons, Lambert R. Jr., of Mississipi; Wayne of La Porte, and Sam of Union Mills, 39 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, WIlliam of Hobart, and Robert, of Kouts, and 2 sisters, Bernice Pullins, of Valparaiso, and Edna Klemm, of Kouts. Joseph Langel, 63 of 7240 Black Oak Rd., Gary, died Sunday in Methodist Hospital, Gary. Mr. Langel was a carpenter. Surviving are his wife Ruth; four sons, Eugene of Highland, Dean and Edward of Hammond, and Leroy of Portage; four daughters, Mrs. Darlene Boling of Highland, Mrs. Sylvia Partain of Sauk Village, Mrs. Elva Gibbs of Black Oak, and Mrs, Ruth Solivais of Gary; three brothers, Micheal Lengyel of Whiting, Paul Langel of Hammond and Louis Langel of Gary; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Victor of Highland and Mr. Pearl Anderson of Black Oak.and 35 grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Deelenbach Funeral Chapel,2580 Colfax St. Gary. The Rev. William Myers will officiate. Burial will be at Chapel Lawn Memoral Gardens. JOSEPH LENGYEL, SR.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Joseph Lengyel, Sr. 65, of 4840 Carey St., East Chicago, who dies Saturday night in St. Catherine's hospital. Lengyel, a retired mill worker suffered a paralytie stroke a week ago and succumbed Saturday at 3:45 p.m. He resided in East Chicago for the past 45 years. Survivors including 6 sons, Joseph, James, Mike, Paul, Louise, and William, three daughters, Mrs. Lester Victor, Mrs. Vera Gray, and Mrs. Wilford Anderson the latter two of Black Oak, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Somets and Mrs. Eva Hedgues, both of Connecticut, and 26 grandchildren. Rev. Joseph Sipos will officiate at funeral services to be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from Huber's Chapel and at 9:30 a.m. from the Holy Trinity Hungarian Church. Interment will be in St. John's cemetery. The body lies at the chapel. June 2, 1941

GEORGE LEMAY

George LeMay incorporated standards into business BY SUSAN BERO Times Correspondent HEBRON -- George LeMay's credo was incorporating high standards into the operation of his auto insurance agency. Mathilda LeMay said her husband founded the Valparaiso company in 1958 and is credited with being one of the first local insurance agencies to offer "preferred risk" automobile policies. Mr. LeMay, 83, of Hebron, died Sept. 22. LeMay Bonding was another enterprise her husband founded. "George didn't just bail clients out, he took them home, counseled them and talked to them about the Lord," she said. When he wasn't managing his agencies, Mr. LeMay found pleasure in reading scripture from the Bible, gardening and traveling. "We had a wonderful life together," she said. Mr. LeMay retired from Indiana General/Indiana Steel/UGIMAC in 1958 and was the founder and operator of LeMay Insurance Agency and LeMay Bonding in Valparaiso. He attended Hebron Assembly of God Church and was a member of Porter Masonic Lodge 137 F&AM of Valparaiso, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, Orak Shrine and Gideons. Mr. LeMay is survived by his wife Mathilda; one son, R.A. "Bud" (Paula) LeMay of Michigan City; one daughter, Donetta "Penny" LeMay of Valparaiso; two step-daughters, Bonieta Harris of Lake Station and Sandra (William) Bowers of Lansing, Ill.; one step-son, Ronald (Sharon) Cavinder of Hebron; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren and three sisters. Services were Sept. 25 at the Steinke Funeral Service in Hebron with the Rev. Mark Daniel and the Rev. Rex Mitchell officiating. Interment took place at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Drew of Cedar Lake; two sisters; Helen Drew of Winamac, IN., Cindy (Merle) Perdue of Hollow Rock, TN., numerous niecies and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Drew in 1989. Born August 14, 1938 in Valparaiso, to Clarence and Linnea Zinn McColley. Lived in Culver area for 11 years coming from Plymouth, IN. Married June 10, 1988 in South Bend, IN to Ernest McQueary, Jr, he survives. Also survived by one daughter, Bonnie (Charles) Pyle of Leiters Ford, IN; three sons: Robert L. (Susan) Wild of Hobart, IN, Richard (Debbie) Wild of Waterman, IL and William Wild of Seabrook TX; mother, Linnea McColley of Valparaiso, IN; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters: Dottie Eslick and Elsie (Bill) Taylor of Valparaiso, IN, Carolyn (Gary) Delong of Lakeland, FL, Barbara (Jim) Harmon of Peoria, IL; one brother, Melvin (Dot) McColley of Valparaiso. Preceded in death by her father, one granddaughter, Sabrina Pyle in 1983, and grandmother, Ethel Zinn. ERNEST M. PATCHMAN

Ernest M. Patchman, 51 of Euclid Ave., East Chicago died Monday in St. Catherine Hospital. Mr. Patchman was an East Chicago resident all his life. He was employed by the E. I. DuPont Chemical Co. for 29 yrs. and was a member of the 25 Year Club. He also belonged to the DuPont Athletic Association and was a member of the American Radio Relay League. He attended Holy Trinity Hungarian Church. Survivors are his wife Grace; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Michael Patchman of East Chicago; a brother, Joseph of Dyer, and a sister, Mrs. Vivian Medonic of East Chicago. VERNON R. MCGINLEY

Vernon R. "Hank" McGinley, 47, of Valparaiso passed away Tuesday, May 18, 1999 as the result of a motorcycle accident. A lifetime area resident, he was born February 29, 1952 in Valparaiso to R. Dean and Betty L. (Kneifel) McGinley who survive of Valparaiso. A 1970 graduate of Morgan Twp. High School, he was employed as an FGD Operator at the Schahfer Generating Station in Wheatfield for 21 years. He attended South Haven Christian Church and enjoyed fishing and motorcycle riding. On April 29, 1983 in Valparaiso he married Arlene Watson Lynn, who survives along with a daughter, Vernae at home; two step sons, Jeffery Lynn of DeMotte and Wesley Lynn of California; three brothers, Raymond (Susan) McGinley of Kouts, Daryl (Connie Faber) McGinley of Texas, Paul ( Constance) McGinley of Texas; three sisters, Eileen (Dave) Yoder of Chesterton, Michelle Lacy of Valparaiso and Rene (Bob) Reich of Valparaiso; three grandchildren, Shane, Kristy and Taryn Lynn; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Stallard. Funeral services Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at South Haven Christian Church, Don Miller, Carl Rose and Richard Watson officiating with burial at Angelcrest Cemetery.
