Photography of Europe. Italy, Switzerland, Holland, France and Greece.

(well.. 5 countries)

This is going to be very, very simple.
It is NOT chronological. Instead, we’re just going to look at my 4 months by country.

Italy

This is the view from where I stayed in Florence.

Everyday in the piazzas (piazze?), various people would perform for money.

Santa Maria della Fiore.. Il Duomo di Firenze. AKA The major church of Florence
The façade is actually bright pink, green and white.

Part of the “Porte” series

See this dog? Yes, its inside a café (bar to Europeans). This was a common occurrence. I thought it was funny looking.

So these dogs would hang out in the same places that such delicious items as these were sold.

Part of the “Fashion” series

These are Etruscan and Roman ruins overlooking Florence.

Plus a medieval castle...

My school took a trip to Rome.

There’s me with 4 friends from Florence. Three of them were my roommates.
(Notice ruins in background.)

Everybody recognize this? Maybe not.. it’s more obvious from the outside. This is the interior of the Colosseum.

This is a sculpture by a famous guy. Hehe.. but I just thought it was awfully cute.

School also took us to Venice.

The island of Burano, of the coast of Venice is known for its brightly colored buildings.

Water ambulance. Neat, yes?

This is the school’s last dinner together. It was at a palace.
“Which palace?” you ask. I’m afraid I can’t tell you.

I’m hiding in the background.

France

I’m not completely sure what this was. But it lit up like fireworks at night.

Amsterdam
(fine.. Holland. Amsterdam is so much prettier though)

Absolutely gorgeous.

Switzerland

I went paragliding off the Alps : )

That's my paragliding buddy in the background.

Greece

We went hiking on the island Corfu…

and found a dog.
We named him Tyrone.

McIndia.. McMoracco.. McJapan…? Only in Greece.. I guess.

Guess what this is!!

Ok, if you aren’t an art history major like some people, this is the Parthenon. Very famous. Know for its optical illusionistic properties. Hehe, that was way too technical sounding….

See that huge city behind the ruins? That’s Athens.. Oh, but that’s only PART of Athens. It was huge.
