Pokemon Yellow, also known as the Pikachu Version, has been out in Japan now for quite some time, and we're seriously missing out. Unlike the Blue/Red/Green versions, Yellow follows more the theme of the Pokemon television show. Pokemon are now located in different places and trainers have different Pokemon. Also, Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny make an appearance!

Pikachu, which is your first and only choice Pokemon, follows you around, and cannot be deposited into a box. He also refuses to change into a Raichu, just like in the television show. You can also get a variety of expressions from Pikachu by just speaking to him. An example is when you speak to a Jigglypuff, he sings, and Pikachu falls asleep. Check with Pikachu, and he's sleeping! This kind of interaction isn't found in the blue/red versions, and thus makes it even a bigger bummer that we don't have it. Another extra is when you go surfing or flying, a picture of Pikachu pops up with him flying in balloons and surfing on a surf board respectively.

A really special thing about Yellow is that Team Rocket makes an appearance! No, not those second rate ones in the Blue/Red... the real deal Jesse and James! Yes! I really love those guys! And now they have their say in the Pokemon Game! They have the same Pokemon as their TV counter parts: Koffing, Ekans, and Meowth. I'm not sure how the plot is and how Jesse and James will fit in it, but I do know that they make appearances and that's all I need!

Well, Pokemon Yellow is SUPPOSED to come out here in America September 06 of this year... I hope they don't take their merry 'ol time about it. I REALLY want this game. Not really cause of the interaction with Pikachu, but more of the reason that Jesse and James are in it! Hehehe! Ya hear me Nintendo?! Hurry it up with Pokemon Yellow!
